As stated its the amount the Gov say you need to live on, not look for work with.

They care not if you have a phone line or internet (job seeking tools) that's your problem if you don't.

you have always been expected to be looking for work. the point i am getting at is because its called jobseekers allowance we get people taking liberties and saying its actually payment for jobseeking. they say the clue is in the name.

It would be very convenient for lazy people to hide behind the former and claim there's nothing to indicate looking for work.

it is an unemployment benefit first a foremost. giving it a different name doesnt change that.

i have never been required to do 35 hours but it is fair to say they would expect plenty more done if a person was subject to that.
