Wipe the dressing table
Morning all. It's quite chilly here today. Upstairs windows were running with condensation this morning. Have now just been up to wipe the last off the windows and frames so I can shut them up. Am snuggled with a blanket and a puss cat. Just watching a programme now and catching up with the list from Monday.
Will delete what's done and come back through the day to update. I must get on to warm up if nothing else!
Ok, having looked at the list, I'm not deleting Mondays jobs (which I did do) as the kitchen is horrifying!
I'll start with stripping the beds I think because then they can go in the washer while I get on elsewhere!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Children deposited at various educational establishments
Life insurance/assurance sorted.. no I've not had any for the last 15 years from when it was a compulsory part of our first mortgage.. but now I have.. it doesn't cover OH just me but he can sort his own stuff out. It covers the mortgage and a bit left over for the offspring. OH can then be charged rent to live in their property if he wants to stay here with our girls and probably my older 3 who won't go to KHs for a weekend, they sure as hecky won't live with him.
I need to sort a will next.. it is on my Toots list.
I have 2 items to go collect from Tesco and I have a package to post so I shall do that in a sec. Tesco delivery is coming 12-1 but I need to be back for OH to go for Squeak at 11:40. I might go now actually and take Dot with me while Pixie snoozes.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning all.
Yesterday I managed to clear my ironing pile completely, well until I wash the uniform tonight. I'm planning on tackling all the housework today so I can bake my Christmas cake tomorrow (maybe some mince pies for the freezer and some shortbread since DD has suddenly developed a taste for it), then have Sunday 'off' as me time since DD will be out with her dad.I have to do some paid stuff first which is leftovers from yesterday so I'll do that while I have a coffee to warm up. All I've done this morning so far is catch up on here

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
WooHoo! Have finally found a method that OH likes to get him involved in Flying. He's always claimed that 'as a man' he just didn't register housework in the same way as I did. Believe me he got an earful for that - but after trying various methods we've hit on the chalkboard method. I list jobs that need doing on the board and he does a couple. Phew!
I've been eyeing up our grubby windowsills this week so they're on my list for when I get in from work tonight. I try to do one major thing each day to keep on top of things and it's really paying off.
Welcome just the two of us, I find this thread really motivating.
Bossymoo I'm having Christmas porridge daily too, it's really nice with the addition of ground ginger and a pinch of cinnamon too.
Hugs to all that need 'em.0 -
Hi - just noticed the November Challenge - is it too late to join, please?
I aim to have my house de-cluttered (not including loft or garage - much too cold ) as well as completing most of the daily Flylady challenges by end of November!
My main problem is a paper mountain - which has not been helped by clearing my desk drawers to home when I finished work in September! I now have an enormous box in the dining room and nowhere to put it!! It must be gone before Christmas or else I'll be really!
PS Thanks for the welcoming messages.July 16 £95/£200

Welcome home mumto2
HHC for me now.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Welcome, just the two of us!
Dusty I'm having a hhc too but mine is half hour cuddleDD not so good today, bless her, although she did sleep better. Her tonsils look fine but it looks like she has a little graze on the roof of her mouth, to the back
we'll see how she goes...
Then I'm off to finish sorting that box of books. Don't think she's wanting lunch...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Quick coffee then onwards! Deleted laundry from list and then created 5 loads by stripping the beds and floordrobes
. Just put 2nd load in TD, 3rd in WM. I'm hoping for a good result on the whites as I've put them on a 60 degree wash. They're getting a bit yellow
.
Had a letter from the police with the name and address of the car owner who hit my car and drove off. Now need to go around and see him to get him to pay for the repair. They won't take any further action against him which is annoying. It doesn't send out a good message does it?
