Thoughts and prayers to all today xx

I have been a VERY bad flylady and so hope to keep up this week.
Today, I have done some ironing, hoovered, done some washing, cleared a fair bit in the spare room, helped DD with her homework and help her make a cake.

I'm done for the night now, chill out time :)

    Hope all are well xx

  • Thanks natty for next weeks list ...

i managed to get most stuff crossed off the flylady list but not so much off my list this week so next week my aim is to get as much done as possible.

tomorrow is a busy day...and thursday morning i have the MW but will be back home flying shortly after i hope! i also need to go and see my nan some time this week.

need to amend my list. i want to give the livingroom and kitchen a one last 'spring' thorough clean this week. the bathroom is lovely and clean just need to keep on top of it and mop and hoover the floor tomorrow then its just a s/s each day i hope. our bedroom also needs at least one last going over before babys arrival LO's room is fine as long as he helps to keep it tidy its just a case of dusting/hoovering bed stripped each week and putting the clean laundry away each time but its clean and tidy so again just need to keep on top of it between now and the first few days/weeks home with baby.
ive removed most of the clutter from the house.... although i still need to do the understairs cupboard and boiler cupboard ....
the kitchen cupboards all need decluttering and cleaning along with all the appliances .....
i've removed all the clutter from the bathroom ...
i don't think its looking too bad .. its been a lot worse here !! but still feel it could be better,,, its not spotless yet.... but hoping by the time i go into labour it will be or close to it otherwise i know it will niggle me and ill worry incase we end up with unexpected visitors within a few hours of being at home ....

off to do my list for next week....
    200 weeks £25,000.00 / £700

I also lost the man who should have been my other grandfather in WW1. Dr Kenneth Robinson was killed in 1917 and ever since I learned him name I've mourned him. My paternal grandmother married someone else much later.

My other nanna (6 years older than the afore mentioned one) lost her fianc! .. he went down with a ship. She met and married another man less than 3 months after his death.. let's just say it was far from a happy marriage but resulted in 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren so far and 3 great great grandchildren.. I do wonder who we would all have been if the first young man had lived and wish my nanna had been happy. She said she was glad he died when she was able to enjoy the remainder of her life, she had 25 years of happiness after he went.:)

Thanks for that Pigpen. Like your grandmother, my grandmother's actual marriage had massively catastrophic elements. My father battled with them all his life and about a month before he died finally told my younger brother about it - I'd known for 40 years because my mother told me. My father cried while he was talking about it.
    Better is good enough.
  • Whilst it is true that about an average of 30p a CD or DVD is not very good, I have found the following technique very effective. About six times this year I have gone to car boot sales and if I see a box of CD's I have asked how much. The response is usually 50p or £1 each at which I have the audacity to offer £5 for the lot. I have done this about 8 times, and funnily enough only a couple have declined my extremely low offers. I then get home and go through each box with a fine toothcomb, keeping the good stuff for myself and getting rid of the rubbish on Magpie. One really good week I ended up in profit from what I had spent at the car boot sale, whilst also adding about 70 CD's to my collection. Also the odd CD fetches £3 off Magpie. I had one by a jazz dude called Archie Shepp and one by an ancient pop group called Edison Lighthouse which both got £3 each. Even the stuff that Magpie do not want I box up and flog at a local auction and maybe get a fiver even though its all rubbish.
