Bossy, I'm not far from you, not looking forward to snow although if it gets me out of a day to the office at the end of the month, that is ok.

Piggers, thanks for your wise words earlier.

I'm going to do some puzzling and reading now whilst cuddling LittleyDog. I think I may ache tomorrow following today's gardening.

    Have a great evening everyone.

Today instead of cleaning I've ordered personalised Christmas/Birthday cards (24 in total so that took a couple of hours to find nice ones!) and made my Christmas cake. DD has written her list but its a lot shorter than usual and consists of about 10 books and a kindle :rotfl: Me thinks I need to expand her horizons a little.

Tea time now (take away as the oven is in use and the washing up pile is big enough) and we're decluttering programmes. :D

Had a good day today -
    • used the new Vax in the lounge/hallway for the first time - was horrified by the colour of the water that was in the tank :o
    • did a load of whites and now they're drying on the airer
    • finished one load of work
    • not sure who suggested it, but wiped down the window sills and frames downstairs with hot water, soda crystals & a microfibre cloth - amazing!! Also did the front door inside and out and the door frame
    • poo picked the lawn (thanks Pip!)
    • raked the leaves up
    • helped DD with some sewing
DH feeling a bit down so trying to give him some space; it's normally me who struggles with that, not him :(. DS played football with me (he says he's coaching me, bless him!) - he's really improved now. DD getting distinctly teenagerish even though she'll only be 11 in a few weeks time, help!!!

Lovely Indian take away tonight; felt like an easy evening and that fitted the bill perfectly.

Big hugs to those who are having a hard time of it at the moment; this is a funny time of year for lots for lots of different reasons. Have a lovely evening :).

My Dad's op didn't go ahead. The ward staff phoned the other hospital (where he was supposed to move to for the op)all night but no body knew anything about him. Thanks for your wishes x

Just updating my list before bed. :D Tomorrow is chore day as DD is out with ex. It shouldn't take me long to get through all this ;)

    Marvellous Monday - Kitchen
    Mop the floors

Fireworks Tuesday - Living Room and Hallway
    Hoover floors
    Wonderful Wednesday
Hoover the parts of the floor you can see
    Wipe phones/games and tv controls
    Clean a window
Frothy Thursday - Bathroom Deep clean
Mould alert, check for any starting to develop and deal with it - Livingroom, master bedroom, hall, (hopefully I can squeeze enough good stuff out the bottle if not, neat bleach it is!)
Hoover and wash the floor right into the corners including any skirting
    Polish mirrors, windows, shower screens
Almost there Friday Master Bedroom, Stairs and Landing
    Hoover stairs
    Change the bedding
Pull everything out from under the bed and hoover
    Catch up on laundry

    Personal:
Work out how many sets of lights I need for Christmas & which ones I want
    Shredding
Make a start on fleece blinds/curtains
    Find net wire/hook & eyes

Right, I best get myself off to bed or I'll have no chance of getting everything done that I want to get done.

    Morning!

I have vacuumed and spot cleaned  the new LR rug. Kids fed, just having :coffee: and muesli. Then I'll collect what needs ironing from around the house. Not expecting much, few bits of uniform. Will get lint roller on inside of DS new sweater - hopefully to avoid all his shirts going blue ;)

Then inlaws are coming over and we're going to model railway exhibition. I can hardly contain my excitement _pale_

Hoping they will take the DVDs etc away today :A

I looked through the bag of DH stuff last night, not a lot in there really but I did find a postcard he'd written to his dad from a weekend away we had together before we were married. I don't really understand what he's written but his dad will - they had lots of "in jokes" and it probably references some daft film or sports quote.

Oh, and a page of the calendar I'd torn off before recycling, May 2011, I'd written our anniversary on, and in the next box he'd written a sweet message for me, and in the one following I'd written "thank you". I've put it in our memory box :)

All managed without a tear! Which is no mean feat just now - I cried at Rapunzel being reunited with her real family last night ;):o
