Morning!.....no that's not right....Afternoon! third time lucky....
EVENING one and all!
Well, there has been some flying but slight change of plans. DS and DD4 have both boycotted their naps.
DS has just gone down in his own bed, hopefully for the night. DD4 is going strong still despite having the rosiest cheeks I have ever seen (I suspect the two little teeth she has are giving her gip! given her some c@lp0l so expecting some relief soon)
So let's see what can go now!
Marvellous Monday - Kitchen

[STRIKE]Filing or shredding for just 15 minutes[/STRIKE] x8 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: got through a whole fabric laundry/shopper bag of paperwork (there were 4 L@kel@nd catalogue unopened in there!)
Wipe phones/games and tv controls
Extras
Clean a window
Make a list of things you may need to buy soon, batteries, lightbulbs, cellotape, stamps, shoe laces, sticky labels etcI should really do this, as I lost my kitchen lightbulb earlier today:(

[STRIKE]Rubbish, recycling and compost all out ready for collection in the morning[/STRIKE] (and I did it while it was still daylight)
Skinty's Toots list for today (and the rest of this week til done)
[STRIKE]de-clutter my car bits out of the utility[/STRIKE]car mats back in place, cans of de-icer, ice scraper, phone charger, CD's all put back. Found canopies for the double buggy and cosy toes in Utility and slung those in the back of the car (I can't be waiting for a dry day to go out and get my jobs done now) and put two 99p buggy rain covers in boot too, from the 99pea shop and de-cluttered some gibble that has started spawning in car already.
HHC in porch cleaning it out and generally tidying it .....I know what I need to do, so I will hang this over til tomorrow.

Get the top bunk in DD4's room clear of gibble and made up with the whole she-bang!
Make a duplicate Spice Kit for DD1 to take back to Uni for this weekend's flying visit (I made one for DD2 in September and as a result her friends all want to have dinner at her's rather than eat their own tasteless concoctions)

Work out my debts for this month, and see if I can do another 0% balance transfer :money: or if I have to take it on the chin
Get young Skints to help me make a Sausage Dog or similar for drafty front door (previous owner cut a nick in the door surround so electric cable would nestle in it and they could shut front door while using power tools outside )
Get some more rat poison out of the shed and stick in my bin before anymore rubbish goes out
Sort out the "Man Drawer" in the kitchen and re-stock essential items - I would very much like to know who is hoarding my pink and purple 5m metal tape measure, I bought it *thinking* no one would want to borrow it
[/Toots list]
Yep didn't realise how bad the leaves were, dug out all the leaves from around the gutter pipes front and back. De-weeded and de-mossed half the drive (I don't want Mr Post-man or anyone else claiming they have slipped on my drive....I have enough insurance stuff going on right now)
Changed the mat outside the back door as so waterlogged and silted up with mud it's doing more harm than good.
I was reading with interest about using fleeces against the windows. Until I was about 11 we didn't have curtains only nets. In winter the bedroom windows had my DGD's old army blankets pegged over the nets, and every morning the living room nets would be frozen onto the glass in the most attractive patterns.
Nostalgia aside, I need to seriously consider keeping this house warmer for as few pennies as possible. I have some cream fleece blanket/throws from the Swedish shop which I used to use everyday to cover my old cracked sofas. Any flyladies willing to post up pics of their creations so I can cobble something together? (with things like this I am more of a visual learner :rotfl:)
Right Daisy mode....ouchy ouch ouch, back soon :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Bossy.. Dot sounded like that for 4 or 5 days but was absolutely fine.. we did have a quiet couple of days though
Hope its nothing. She had the flu thing the other day and they said she might have a stuffy nose this week. She fell asleep on the school run and was inconsolable when she woke. But managed some roast beef and broccoli
That's my girl, not one to be off her foodBossymoo

Mine is never off her food either whereas Squeak eats breakfast and very little other than fruit the remainder of the day.
Just tripled my Tesco order for tomorrow with half price toothbrushes and toiletries to bolster the insignificant present piles.. I like buying consumables it reduces clutter and is stuff I would have to buy anyway. I got DS3 his first razor, he is fuzzy and it is looking very scruffy now.. OH will have to be teaching him how to shave .. male bonding experience!
He had diabetes clinic today.. was a bit rushed.. I though his appointment was after school and when I checked at 1:30 I discovered it was actually at 2pm.. .. anyway.. they are very pleased with my control freakishness with it and his fantastic levels.. they agreed it is the best control they have seen in a very long timeLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Ah well it was nice whilst it lasted....
Ds and his g/f are coming to the conclusion that they can't afford to rent a house atm, and he's looking to move back home.
The question is - since his older sister took over his bedroom - where am I going to put him?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Well that has put paid to my flying DS is now awake and full of the joys of spring, and here I was hoping he was down for the night!
Some more bits to cross off, I really am going to try for a clean sweep this week!

Morning all. No flying done here yesterday so I'm going to catch up with the bathroom list before the paid stuff this morning. That way it will only be our bedroom which hasn't had any attention this week, but it is tidy.
Though I'd share a comment DD made last night while we were watching home videos. My lovely family had filmed me recently when I dozed off in the chair. Her comment? What on earth do you do to get THAT tired? You can imagine my reply.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Haha Jazee they have no idea, do they? Once I've got the littlies off to bed I'm usually not far behind them...
Breakfast is served! We have toast and "no bits" strawberry jam, and Christmas porridge (with raisins, mixed peel and mixed spice mmm). Tea or coffee?
I've tidied away the books into the garage but pledge I will have them sorted by the end of todayand I've already binned an empty glasses case and some floppy disks
can't remember when I last had a machine that had a slot for those...

Hi - is there room for a new person on this thread, please?
I have done Flylady in the past but need a little motivation to get everything spick and span for Christmas!!!
Yes, I know it is a way off but I am only able for health reasons to do anything for 15 minutes - perhaps 20 at a push - as that is about an ironful of water!!! The way this thread is organised therefore looks perfect for me - thanks to all who do it. I am sending this on Friday to make sure I don't conveniently "forget" by the time Monday comes around!!July 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200

Hi, I think I'm going to have to come back to you guys if that's OK - as you know I work from home and whereas I used to have 3 people I worked for I now have 6 which is fantastic but it means I spend all day working and don't do any housework
. Trying to spread the workload now so do some housework first then paid work, then more housework and finish early evening with more paid work.
With that in mind here's my list - I'm not going to beat myself up if I don't do it (cos I won't!) but need to do what I can.
