I spoke to my local garage and he said that more expensive tyres are not worth it and to just buy budgets, which he could supply at £52.75 per tyre (I don't belive this for a second)
Edit: I've just found this tyre on Etyres, is this a good brand & a decent price? http://www.etyres.co.uk/car-tyres-uk/detail?productId=11888
In that particular size you ZE912 performs quite poorly. Why not spend extra £5 per tyre and get some nice premium tyres?"Retail is for suckers"

Those tyres look nice (the premium ones), does blackcircles come out and fit them for you or do you have to go to there centre?0

Enter your post code and choice of fitting stations comes up
Looking for same size for wife's car and probably going for the Toyo Proxes CF1 which are £60.40 fitted. get generally excellent reviews0 -

That's a good link to blackcircles there.
I wouldn't go budget, but they have Toya Proxes for £47
Uniroyal Rainexpert for £49, and the Goodyear Efficient Grip and Bridgestone Turanza, both eco tyres for under £60
Either of those two eco's would be my first choice, or the Toya for the sheer bargain.
edit, delivery price for those came up for some reason,
even £60 for the proxes is good though, and another £10 or so fitting on the other prices.0 -
very hard to beat https://www.camskill.co.uk
for instance the uniroyal expert mentioned above in 195/65 r15 91t is £44.89 delivered0 -

Delivered maybe, but does it include Fitting, balancing & a new valve?0 -
Any recommendations for a reasonably priced tyre for mostly motorway miles? Other half is commuting 150 mile round trip 5 days a week so as you can imagine tyre wear is now a big consideration.0

Different size though 195/60 R15 H was asked for although not sure what loading.
Camskill are generally pretty good value though I agree0 -

I went to a tyre fitter after i bought my Falken 452s (which i'm happy with & are wearing well). He swaggered that he was a Falken dealer & questioned the price i got them. He said he was cheap and could do them for £xx per corner.
Well i got them for £10 less than that pal. He spat his brew out near enough & didn't believe me.
I provided the invoice which i had & he just wandered off.
I've spoken to another chap who i've had fit tyres & he's cheap, but he also can't beat mytyres.
When you go on mytyres to see the tyres listed, you might want to head over to a review site: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/ to see what is said.
Also a question whether you're looking at winter, summer or all weather tyres.
I bought my gf in some Goodyear 4 seasons at £55 per corner a while ago (all weather as the name suggests). They got good reviews at the time.
Looking at mytyres now, they're £59 per corner.
The best buy i did was when i bought in my Bridgestone Blizzak's at about £74 a corner. When i checked back 4 weeks later, they were £105. I checked some months after that & they were £130 per corner. Made a change for me - hitting it at the right time.
A lot of people seem to recommend camskill, but i've always found mytyres cheaper for the exact same product.0 -
Sorry i can't give you a brand name, but i can certainly recommend mytyres.co.uk for buying your tyres in.

I'll pass that on to him thanks. Probably looking at all weather, I did beg him to put winter boots on as I was worried about travelling up and down the M6 twice a day, but costs were off putting so its going to have to be all weather.
Probably looking at 2 new ones before the end of the monthTo be honest we are planning on moving because it's costing more in fuel than the mortgage at present and adding in the costs of servicing and tyres etc its madness.
