I suggest you to get DUNLOP tyres they are also very good and famous as well.
^ Possibly the worst shout on here!

Firestone, Falken, Maxxis or Federal's are good quality budgets.

What are you after? Grip, wear rate, comfort or noise?

Personally I'd say that Toyo T1Rs, Falken 452, Kumho KH31 or Uniroyal Rainexpert 2 are the "mid-range" pics. I value wet grip above all else, and have found these four to be the best cheaper tyres in that regard.

If you are after real budget tyres, the "cheap specials" that get the closest to being half-decent are Lassa Impetus 2 and Nankang NS2s. I wouldn't particularly recommend either, but these are at least that bit better than the real nasty ditchfinders like Sunny and Durun.

Oh darn it, I did not realise that this was an old thread hijacked by a spammer. My comments still stand though!

Been a few threads brought back from the dead recently, I got caught out by the one about the Voyager, newly registered poster says they are better than sex, the next poster has hardly posted and now wants to sell? Thats right, Voyager. Probably the worst MPV in the world, the only person that can afford to run one has just been given their annual bonus.
  • my choice of tyres would be #1 Vredestein #2 Uniroyal rainsport 2
    #3 Uniroyal rain expert.

still got my vredestein winter on need them of now.

But Fulda and Vredistein as mentioned have a god reputation, my favourite is the Toyo T1R, but on checking my ususal place Elite in Rainham they have none in stock.

Maybe to do with the recent events in Japan, as Toyo's are made there. Or at least all the ones I have had on cars are marked up as Made in Japan.

I had Nankang NS 2's a few years ago and they were fine, a mate had the same tyre on his BMW Z3 2.8 and he said they were good even in the wet.

A few blokes that use Merc's and BMW's for exec private hire work have been using Nexen, they seem to find them OK. £72 in your size for the Nexen Gamma B2. Fitted and balanced obviously.
