  • I bought this months Glamour magazine, and it has come with a free Nails Inc gold nail polish. Undecided as to whether I will keep it or pass it on, but will count it as an IN for now.

What skin type are you? I found that the Elemis Melting Cleansing gel could make my skin really oily and spot prone so if you have same skin type as me it could the Elemis balm that's doing this. If it is then I'm not going to get along with the cleanser in my new TSV kit.

I tried Philosophy Purity years ago and that actually made my skin tight though it did get rid of the milia I suffered from at the time.
VALM - my skin is normal but with a tendency towards an oily t-zone. I've convinced myself the Elemis caused it as I used the Philisophy this morning and my face has felt fine today. Going to persevere with the Elemis until the weekend nevertheless as I really liked it!

i never got on with the melting cleansing gel, it sent my skin crazy and i got loads of spots. I tried the balm though and my skin was fine with it! i was worried they'd use the same gel to milk formula and it was something in that but who knows!

moneylessmac that sounds like a great deal on the Elemis, do you mind me asking where it was from as I'd like to get my OH some men's stuff for Christmas?[/QUOTE]

Online at Debenhams - you have to buy 2 products though - I bought 2 of the mens products for DH as Christmas gifts.

Not wishing to enable Sundaysgirl but it still adds to basket - 1 item must be skincare though.

Welcome to all the new people.

Will declare UU tomorrow as I should be in bed as I have a 5.30am start but my insomnia thinks im wide awake!

A long awaited UU this morning:

    22. Herbal Essences Bee Strong Shampoo 400ml. WDBA, I love this, and would consider Bee Strong my HG shampoo and conditioner. However, I have tons of shampoo at the moment, including one of those Lush solid shampoos that And has made me lose all hope of ever finishing :P

ETA another one, I jumped the gun a bit!
    23. Pink Owl foot cream - this was originally an NSpa minty foot cream that I decanted into a cute owl container after cutting the bottle open. I WNBA, it's a bit like rubbing toothpaste into your feet, and I hate the tingly cold feeling. I also hate when I touch my eyes after using it, like I've just done! :P

  • Oh I also had a near miss again today (sorry can't remember what you call them on here :o ). I had another look at the Rituals body scrub free with Marie Claire. I was very tempted as I had got rid of two scrubs last week AND I love the smell of oranges and this is Orange and Cedar. Anyway, I decided IF they still have it next Monday then I may buy it, if it's gone then it's not mean to be.

Did anyone else buy it? I don't know what cedar smells of so hoping the orange is stronger. Thanks.

I too really want the Rituals body scrub, but I tend to find that scrubs aren't scrubby enough, so I'm wondering about that…

ETA: Does anyone have any alternative uses for cream cleanser? I think a pixie is refilling the last inch and a half of my 9 to 5 cleanser every night - I really cannot get any more on my face, so what else can I use it for? I really want it gone!

    Have uu to report

Champneys Distant Shores Shower Mousse - this is lovely, super soft mousse and it smells divine, the body butter still has a couple of uses left but that is no hardship as it is super gorgeous too.

Flexitol Heel Balm - this was a prescription item for DD to use on her hand when it was very badly cracked with eczema, it didn't help though so I used it for it's true purpose. It is a very good foot cream but I do not like the smell at all.

  • Oops, forgot to say welcome to VickyA. I used to have a hotel freebies stash, fortunately the hotels I've stayed in for the past few years have been with coach trips and the most you get with those is a little bar of soap.

Oxford Owl, I'm sure you said you had waist - length hair... :)
You will be using up your Lush solid shampoo at roughly 4 x the rate of mine if that is the case, so rather than 100 washes, expect about 20-25. (Although that's based on maths, rather than what actually will happen..)
I've got soft water in my area and get a lot of lather out of products, as well; anyone with hard water should expect to get less and use more product to get a decent lather.

Haha, excellent! I live in one of the hardest water areas in the country, and yes, have hair almost to my waist. That's a much more optimistic look - with further maths, I reckon that'll only take me around 5/6 weeks to use (washing 4x a week)… Although normal shampoo would still only take me 3 weeks!
But I definitely agree, the stash seems to follow no laws of maths or physics! :P :D

I have long hair too but I still don't seem to get through shampoo and conditioner very quickly.

I wash it about three or four times a week and alternate between different brands, but I reckon it takes me about six months to get through a single 250ml bottle..............! :undecided
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/
