With all the drama last night I forgot to declare the out that I originally came on to post! I have another from this morning too.
UU:
8. Sanctuary body lotion 75ml - WNBA, prefer butters and after going through what feels like dozens of these I have had enough! I have a full size then I think they're all gone.
9. Ojon Damage Reverse shampoo 250ml - HG and WDBA but no need just yet as have another set in the stash.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
OMG missed all the drama,do I know this woman?have not read anything nasty here so must be elsewhere, think people who are mean cannot feel good about themselves and it costs nothing to be nice.
I went to town as I said earlier but did not buy any toiletries....however I did buy some tops (in the sales)I saw the lovely Salvation army man who regularly collects near Marks and put a £1 in his box as I usually do and he said bless you for helping out.........is was only a £1 and I had spent a lot more on clothes but I felt good and he was happy (hope this point makes sense and to any moaners I do give to other charities)
anyway today the local spa is having an open day with nibbles/wine and lucky bags for sale so maybe I will just drop in for the odd mince pie:rotfl:
am doing a coffee morning trying to sell some of my jewellery and flower arrangements plus take some orders for Christmas flowers so busy day
hugs to all who need them,I think this forum is great and you ladies have really helped me in some black times:)0 -
I've been ill for a couple of days and missed all the drama, but after finding the blog post am also quite hurt by the sneering (although it appears to be edited, was it worse?
No ins or uus for me since my last post, I haven't really been using much...
Also, not to kick off more drama, but Rosemary (and everyone else), please don't donate to the Salvation Army, they're known for being anti-LGBT, to the point of refusing aid to gay or trans people. In mild terms, that's not very humanitarian! No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -
Agreed, let's not get into discussion on charity giving, it is a very personal thing, we all have opinions, some strongly felt, but I feel it would be better to stay (broadly) on topic here.
No offence meant, but we have, in the past lost people because of previous strongly held views on rather more relevant companies, so please let us not go there:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Good point maddiemay, it's all getting a bit heated in recent days with foxes, trolls and charitable giving!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0

I'm not exactly sure how objecting to homophobia is 'a strong opinion', but I take your point. I'll just shush for a bit as I have no toiletries to talk about at the moment...No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0

Have found the edited Ilona blog post. Did she used to post on here? I don't understand why some people are so smug about not spending any money, as a family we spend more than we should but a lot less than many but we have fun and you only live once.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

My comment about "strong opinions" was not aimed at your comment on homophobia in the SA, it was meant to illustrate how, if we start a discussion on charitable giving, that it might degenerate into a heated discussion, I am sure that you have come across this type of thing before in other circumstances.
I have recently been in conversation with friends who are unhappy with the National Trust or the RSPCA and will never help fund them, their opinion, not mine, but in a face to face discussion with the benefit of facial expression and inflection of tone was interesting and not a matter to upset any contributor. It is so very different when just posting a few words.
As I wrote before, no offense was intended and I hope that we have some UU's, In's or recommendations to "talk" about soon.:D
Have a good day everyone, I am off for my first ever session with a personal trainer so might be using some of the relaxing bath products in the stash soon:eek:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
