I have lip balms secreted all over the place! Mostly almost empty :rotfl:
Off topic completely, hubby has just looked over to see what I'm doing and has asked why I'm reading a thread called "No buying unnecessary toilet." as that's all that fits on the tab :rotfl::rotfl:
You would wonder wouldn't you.I never got my free body butter from the BS but don't want to complain as think I did ok out of the glitch
A UU - hair dye, OMG it was supposed to be light golden chestnut, more like ebony :mad: not very happy with it, pictures on the back was nothing like it
Oh dear, I hope it fades down a bit for you, I think we have all been there at one time or another.
Clutterfree - believe me we have seen worse, my stash is so big I have never posted it.
I have a freebie in - the latest issue of RED magazine had a choice of 2 This Works freebies, I am a subscriber and no subscribers got it - boo to RED. Anyway I complained and they sent me the scrub. Luckily for me I have only a few body scrubs so it should be used quite soon.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thanks Dolly.
Tbh I knew I had a lot of skin care and body lotions (inherited a lot of my late step-mums stash) but it was all the hair care products that have shocked me. I didn't realise I had so many.
Also, realised I missed a small drawer with another ten items in!
I've binned five so shall just update the list with the other five...Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Feeling very
:(:(:(:(
Someone just came to collect something I sold them off facebook, I commented on their unusual bag accessory and they said "Oh it's a real fox's tail!" eww eww eww eww eww!!! All I could say was "Oh poor fox!" I was shocked that someone still thinks having a real fur item is something to be proud of. I didn't know I was anti-fur until just now, it looked so grotesque seeing that hanging from someone's bag. I just feel so sad and hope the fox didn't sufferNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I want to let you guys know we are being discussed on Ilona's blog.
I tried to post a reply last night using our viewpoint but she decided not to post it.
So, if anyone comes here from her blog, here it is:
We all have weaknesses and it takes a lot to recognize it. I personally don't drink or smoke. I just have a weakness for pretty packaging.
Many on our thread give away our surpluses to homeless shelters and homes for victims of domestic violence.
In the past, Ilona, you have written about happily accepting gifts of these products from your friend. Don't go being judgmental lest you be judged.
It's not the exact post but it gets my opinion across.
I don't go on her site and decry some of her frugal lifestyle choice.
We support lots of business and charities with our choices.
Anyhoo. That's off my chest.0 -
sorry but I disagree kadison, living in the countryside I see first hand the devastation caused by a fox, for example - chickens killed, lambs with their intestines ripped out, lambs being born and the fox eating them ...I could go on.
Nature is very cruel, especially the fox

Hi All,
No movement for me in either direction since my last post but some asked me for the link to the sneak peak of UD Naked 3, there's been some pics since on the FB page as below which are better:
Its definitely on my wishlist!
Also apologies to Oxfordowl I'm never near the post office lately when its actually open as being worked far too hard but I've not forgotten about you0 -

WOW, i never realised people could be so mean!
like Wondercollie, I don't drink, i don't smoke and i don't have any other hobbies but i like to make myself look nice if i can and have pretty things to look nice in my room to make it feel like home.
I divorced this year and i'm sorry if people on that blog think my buying a MAC set with my own money that i went out to work and earned to try and cheer myself up or my £25 a bottle NEOM bubble bath that i LOVE having is just greed or stupidity or whatever else they think we do here.
I put on a lot of weight whilst i was married and none of my clothes fit me anymore (3 stone  ) i got to the point where i couldn't look in the mirror because i was so disgusted with myself. i found that if i bought a new eyeshadow or lipstick it made me feel better and i could go home and put it on and i could actually look at myself in the mirror and think i looked ok.
thats skyrocketed into my having a stash that they may seem to think is excessive. my spreadsheet currently has 487 items on it (including brushes, tweezers etc which i don't count for the purposes of this thread) and in answer to their question, yes it did take me rather a while to type out. i have graphs too. and a pie chart.
what we don't need is to be lectured at and judged by complete strangers who know nothing about any of us, our personal circumstances and why we started buying toiletries. its not like we all suddenly woke up one day with a house like a Boots stockroom. something will have happened in each of our lives thats kicked it off and then fed it.
this thread is one of the nicest ones on MSE with the loveliest people and i'm proud to be a part of it every month. I know that here i will get nothing but love and support (for anything, not just toiletries!) and a wealth of knowledge and advice.
if anyone thinks were crazy, so be it!xx

totally agree, people come online looking for support and encouragement. Some people on forums can be so mean :grouphug: have a dodgy group hug :beer:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
