TV in my bedroom
Comments

What about a Netflix subscription for the laptop? At £6 a month it'd be years before it matched the cost of a decent TV!0

If you want one at the foot of your bed, you could always buy one of those beds where the tv is built into the bottom of the bed and you pull it up or press a button on a remote & it pops up.
Excuse me, these exist? I may have to forget my previous opinion on bedroom TVs and immediately buy one. It sounds like something from Thunderbirds! :rotfl:0 -

I found out they did last year when I got a groupon email for an offer on one!
I did a quick google search & turns out lots of places sell them!
Best to buy in a sale as they can be pricey but varied massively in price when I looked. Great if you don't have a suitable wall or dresser etc to put a tv on!0 -

Have you seen how much those beds cost?!? Would be secure with a good view though.
I don't have a tv in the bedroom but our non-massive LG in the lounge is really good, even from an angle.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Some come with a tv, others you buy the tv yourself.

That's why I've never bought one :rotfl:
But if I saw one at a good price I'd be tempted.0 -
Yeah they exist, they've been around a while. Unfortunately I bought a new bed and mattress last January, after my ex husband decided he wasn't returning. So to splash out again would be silly, but in principle its a good idea.
Thanks for all your replies. I do have a samsung downstairs, it seems quite good.
My laptop is in serious need of repair, it wouldn't be able to cope with any more demands made on it!! That is next on my list of To Do's. But netflix would only sort films, so TV wouldnt be an option would it?0 -
Thank you Brighton Belle, much appreciated, im having a hard time with the fibromyalgia at the moment. I can't give in though, too much to do.0

Perhaps you could bolt one to the ceiling above the bed.
I would be looking that has built in wifi and access to iPlayer etc.0 -
well its up to you - but most experts agree that TVs in the bedroom are NOT a good thing. they can disrupt sleep patterns and er your sex life.
I am old fashioned enough that I believe bedrooms are for sleeping in (mostly).
We have our old tv in the bedroom. DH can't fall asleep without the tv on. Thankfully he drops off really quickly, and I turn it off and go to sleep myself. As for the sex life, can't say I've noticed a difference. :rotfl::rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
