TV in my bedroom

I'm seriously considering getting myself a tv in my bedroom. I've looked around and on amazon saw one ticks my boxes.

I'd like a white surround, a built in dvd and freeview player.

My 2 concerns are picture and sound quality. I dont want to be lying in bed and can't see the image on the screen properly as i'm lying too low (a bit like when the mobile phone screen isn't angled properly), but i'd like the tv in the middle of the wall, so it looks well presented. It will basically be at the foot of my bed, so not much distance from the pillow end.

Some reviews i've read say the sound is tinny. But of course with anything, some people will like and others not.

What have you got in your bedroom and are you happy with it?

well its up to you - but most experts agree that TVs in the bedroom are NOT a good thing. they can disrupt sleep patterns and er your sex life.
I am old fashioned enough that I believe bedrooms are for sleeping in (mostly).

Sorry, I've made you look bonkers there, deleted my reply as I realised it was completely unhelpful to someone choosing a telly!
  • We've got our old 32" gray LCD. It looks out of place. It hardly gets used. I've got it connected to sky downstairs using a wireless transmitter

It's a TV for when you are too poorly to get out of bed
  • Up until now i have avoided a tv, but due to illness I have decided getting one would be more beneficial than trying to avoid falling asleep on the sofa.

I'm separated so it won't affect my love life :)
It would have been beneficial recently when I had a poorly child, up all night, but needed to lie down to help the pain. We could have cuddled in bed and been distracted by the tv.

Nuffink wrong with watching telly in bed. In fact the telly in my bedroom probably gets the most usage!

My 32" Samsung is about 7-8yrs old and still going strong :)

Ok - I can see that if you are poorly then a tv in the bedroom MAY be beneficial. but, unless you are completely bedbound - I still don't fully approve!

We have a 32' LG in our bedroom. We like it, it was our old TV from the living room. Before that we had a small tv and we barely watched it, we use the big tv a lot now. Generally snuggling in bed and watching rather than sitting in the lounge at night.

If you want one at the foot of your bed, you could always buy one of those beds where the tv is built into the bottom of the bed and you pull it up or press a button on a remote & it pops up.

Go into a shop and ask to watch and listen to a selection of tvs.

I'd always pay extra and go for quality as I hate tinny sound. Samsung are usually good.

    This one:

22" LCD TV DVD COMBI (SAMSUNG SCREEN)with USB RECORD

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
