It is available. I've been accepted for it this week using the link in this thread. The T&C's I signed up to specifically mention the 4% cashback.

It might be that they are no longer 'actively' marketing it at the moment.

    HAHAHA!!! Thanks for confirming this..

    Yeah, you're probably right.

Luma just think the card is currently unavailable, eh?

And when they do ('In the new year'), I wonder what the cashback will be?

My guess is 2%. Any other offers?

I'm still wondering when they are going to re-introduce the interest free offer on purchases they withdrew last year on their usual card

They are going to have to act quick if they are to keep their promise and re-introduce it in 2013.

That's a very good idea actually.

Indeed, the cashback is based on the MCC number, so if the grocery store uses the same code for TfL purchases, I can't see how Luma can tell the difference from normal spending on groceries. That's also why the Santanter 123 card that normally gives cashback on trains/TfL spending, excludes " TfL travelcards, passes and Oyster Card top up purchases made at newsagents, garages and off-licences".

The issue is, if you can find a store that doesn't add a fee for Oyster purchases (is there any?), but even if they do, it can still be worthwhile if the fee is <4%.

    Who would like to volunteer?

Yes looks like the Sivs working link to the CashBack card is now not working. Big thanks to him while it was working as I, and I think a lot more people sneaked in under the radar and got the CashBack card after it was officially on hold till new year.
For those who missed out I hope it's back as promised in the new year.

For those still desperate to have a search placed on their credit file, they could always still apply here:
