Very slapdash dinner last night (forgot to defrost anything) of Caramelised Red Onion and Bacon omelette and a Tomato and Cheese omelette. Split each one in half.
*******
NSD yesterday.
Spendy weekend though.
Budget of 80 for drinks/socialising.
Off to the Big Smoke - 180 budget
Seeing some friends though at the weekend so that is Sun lunch sorted.
******
Will try and dig through my documents tonight so I can actually update the interest and balance figures.
******
Christmas nearly sorted. One top up present to get. So hopefully can find something in town.
*******
Going to get my diary in 2014 so I know when all my renewals are due etc.
This will hopefully enable me to budget better and plan ahead.
Didn't have any problems last year, but feel much more organised if I know when expenditures are due.
*******
Can't believe how quickly this year has flown by, and looking forward to a new start in the new year. So many exciting things - getting married, having my first holiday for about 5 years, upping mortgage payments in the summmer, tackling house renovations.
So many good things :j :j

Thanks for the omelette ideas - I was just wondering what I should have for lunch... cheese and tomato omelette it is! (Helps use up the load of baby tomatoes I couldn't think to do with as well, hurrah!)
And hurrah for exciting years ahead! Your year sounds super full, looking forward to hearing all about it.Some big change-ups appearing on the horizon for me as well (possible relocation & new job), can't wait, bring on 2014!

Thanks! Yep, really excited!
Thanks for the omelette ideas
OOOO, I love a cheeky omelette. Always makes me laugh when I have one too, as it reminds me of Gavin &Stacey!
Yep, lots to look forward to. In particular, become an old stalwart of the MFW boards! Perhaps even get a 3rd star!

Haha, I totally forgot about cheeky omelettes! Now I'm going to have to watch Gavin & Stacey again, it's been far too long. While eating a cheeky omelette? Perhaps! :rotfl:

I'm with you entirely about superscrimpers....I thought their tips were very unhelpful!! There's plenty of experts on here that could offer more!!Original mortgage £154,850 (2013)
Mortgage now £148,370.15:beer:
Original savings £0 (2013)
Savings now £3000 in ISA and premium bonds
£60 in mini savings pot, £600 in Xmas vouchers0 -
I was wondering if anyone here is 'public' about their MFW plans
I'm quite open about money stuff, but I've realised that lots of people aren't when you speak to thembut how else are people going to learn off of each other if no one talks about stuff.. or is this the banks plan, keep everyone in their not-knowing-bubbles and make more money!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.
My weekend didn't turn out as spendy as I thought.
Off to the SM this week to get potatoes and foodbank donation. Donation will not be coming out of GC budget.

Dinner out with friends which was lovely and nice to not have to cook for once!
Saturday dinner was pulled pork with soft wraps served with veggies cooked in the pork juices.
Dinner tonight will be those LO.

Got one more present left to get for Christmas and just some cash to give out. But apart from that, all done so YAY!

Wedding updates:
Rings now bought! Confirmed price 816. This is down from original list price of 1200 so great saving!
Another 12 put towards wedding fund. With the rings being under budget and savings, we now only have a 250 shortfall. Which is not bad at all considering no overtime or bonuses since September.
Budget now at 9904! So under 10k mark which is fantastic!
Starting to get very excited about it now - starting to feel a bit more 'real' IYKWIM

Now that wedding budget is nearly sorted, starting to think about honeymoon and planning for the end of 2014.
Hopefully, if all goes to plan we can pay an extra 300 pm towards the mortgage once it's all paid for. This could take us to MF by 2028.
A very exciting prospect, but I am not counting on this yet as who knows what will happen. Don't want to count all my eggs and all that.M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
There was a crazy tip from Lady Rutland - oh don't buy a tree, just get one for free from your 12000 acre estate!!!!! MADNESS!!!
Oh yep, let me just wander out my castle and take a look shall I?

Hi BlueMoo,
I've just read your threat from the beginning. Working out your daily interest was a good way of kick starting the mfw mindset so I may do the same later. Hope. Won't be too shocked by the result!
Good luck.0
