I have been waiting for a date to have my gallbladder removed and rang this morning as I hadn't heard anything. It will be on 9th December!!! Eeek!!! That gives me 3 weeks to get everything ready for Christmas and to be off work for probably 3 weeks. A bit scared though:eek:
Don't be scared - all your little MSE buddies will be here to amuse you while you are off! :T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. I have a stupid question but I am looking for some completely random information. Has anyone seen the advert for VW with all the dogs?? I am wondering what type of it is that is running behind the car??
OH and I are thinking about getting a dog in the future and it is so cute, we are thinking we want one of them. Sorry but thank you for any information.
I am sure it's a Jack Russell Terrier crossed I think with a wipet. Lovely dog xx Love the advert0 -
Why don't you get it out of the loft Mrs Gsr and see if you do use it once it's set up? If its set up and still not used then you know there's no point in keeping it. I think it would be nice if you could use it though as I think it's very family orientated. It wouldnt sell for that much so worth keeping if it does get used. Still can't make my mind up, keep thinking of little mii's cute faces. Think I will list it for £50 and see if it sells:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0

The thing is I put it away because DS kept switching it on and playing with the remotes, before that we hadn't played with it for ages! Agree it is very family orientated I just hate things just sitting around not being used when they could go somewhere else and make some money! Still I will take your advice and set it up again and see if DD wants to play it.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
I found a £1 coin on saturday in town and I just spent it on some rolls for tea. Does this count as aSFD because it wasn't my money?
The rest of the day was pretty good, my friend had the day off and he called me to meet him in town for coffee. When I said I had no money he offered to treat me! So I went and we ended up having 2 coffees and he got me a sandwich too. Then we went to boots and he got me some anti frizz stuff for my hair as products were 3 for 2 and he couldn't see another item he wanted! so I had a nice free day! Was very pleased.
Got a £6 off a £40 shop from Tesco in the post today and I have £9 to spend in there so me and OH will go there this week and get some things for hampers we are doing for family so we will save £15 on our shop
It's FREEEZING in the house so me and DD are wrapped up now in our dressing gowns and I might suggest to OH we go bed early and watch TV to keep warm to have a HFD (heating free day hehe!). DD will have her hot water bottle with her so she won't be cold tonight! xx
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Good evening. Spend day today but I am actually really proud!! (give me a second so I can explain).
I took OH into the city centre today as he had an agency interview (hopefully a IT job is in the pipeline. fingers crossed). So I was left on my own in the middle of the city with the choice of five different shopping centres!!
I was looking for a particular top in new look (one of my many shopping weaknesses, I love new look) but they didn't have it so I left without buying anything!! to repeat: I WENT INTO NEW LOOK AND BOUGHT NOTHING!! This is pretty much a first for me.
:j
I went into two seperate new look shops, hobbycraft, next, and walked past several yummy food shops... and bought nothing.
However, I did spend some money in paperchase (bought a new diary for work as I am really fussy with how it looks, a pressie for my mum and a couple of bits for xmas) and we paid for the parking. So I spent a total of £18.00!! (I am not joking when I say that before this LBM, I would have quite happily spent £100 in new look alone).
My Dad gave us £20 towards having our supper out as he said we deserved a treat for being so good (I imagine this may end up coming out of my main account at a later date though).
We went to a all-you-can-eat buffet thing with chinese, indian, and european food and bottomless soft drinks so the whole thing cost £22.78 (that includes £2 tip). So that cost us £2.78!!
This means that we spent almost four hours in the big city and only spent £20.78!! This is amazing for us!! I am feeling so happy about it as I am hoping it shows that this website is having an effect. Erm... anyways just thought I would report back.
:undecided
p.s: Someone told me it is a parson russell terrier which looks about right. The advert keeps making me cry cause I feel really sorry for the doggy.
Hopefully, once we are debtfree and I can reduce my hours to working as and when (on the bank as it is known) then we can get a doggy. 12 hour shifts are just not fair on a dog.
We have always liked labs but they are just too big for us I think, where as that little terrier is just perfect.

Hey there all
SFD for me here, no 13. Won't be another spendy one now till the weekly shop again I hope. Just posted my chiropractor receipts off to the medical plan at work to see if I can get them reimbursed. I hope so, that would be great! I think I can also get my contact lenses on there, so that would be fab. Not much else to report. Bit down in the dumps, but I noticed its actually December NEXT WEEK! So we really are nearly there, and I am hoping we can put a tidy whack towards CC next weekend. Barring any disasters...
oo, good luck for the op PurpleJay and in getting everything sorted before it! Eek!LBM Aug 2013 - DEBTS AS OF THEN £25,150  now: £0 :j
