Well... I worked my extra half-shift today. Now off until sunday. Thank goodness, I need a break as my neck/back is a bit sore.
Anyways... £80 extra has been obtained.
And because I was a lazy person again, it's another spend free day. Thats a total of 5 now.
For the record I am not trying to make anyone who isn't managing to get sfds feel bad, I am just an overachiever so am forcing myself not to go shopping so that I will achieve the goals.
Tomorrow might be a spend day (sadly) as we need sandwich stuff. Although I would rather wait until saturday. So I could have a week of spend free days in a row. (Did I mention I am an overachiever??)
Glad to hear your mum is doing well piggybankshaker.
Congratulations on achieving your £80 angelicious.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Grrr just typed a long reply and lost it!
Today was a spend day for me today. Trip to sainsburys included £39.21 on groceries, £2.07 on Halloween tat and £6.00 on school shirts. The Halloween tat was reduced so I got face paint, spiders with web and 2 sets of teeth - what a bargain!
I was careful what I bought and am pretty happy with my purchases (and self control). I got 3 x 4ltr milk so added with the one in the fridge will mean no need to pop to tesco express for a few days. Got basics choc mousses for M which he really likes at just 35p plus my work lunches for the next couple of weeks - crackers/ryvita and cheese triangles which will be bulked out with fruit and cup a soups.
Didn't have sausage as H had it for lunch (so much for forward planning) but instead he made quorn stew which we had with mash, sprouts and yorkshire pud - yum!
As he didn't do the cabbage, we now have 2 cabbages as I got another today. Still it was only 60p and will do us twice plus some for the ratties.
Post office tomorrow as still not been and sold another item on ebay so another £4 something there
Finally, just ordered a Kindle Fire HD for M's xmas pressiepre- budgeted of course. Paid with my credit card but will use money from xmas pot to pay it off next month.
Nighty night folks, am off to bed x'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Hi everybody,
another SFD for me today. I was supposed to work today but a collegue asked me to swap a shift, so I've had today off and now I've to work SaturdayHoping good Karma comes my way :A
I spent most of the day making a dress that had shrunk in the wash into a top/tunic which I'll be wearing for the 2 works Christmas parties that Hubby and I are going to. No expensive seasonal glad-rags at Kerfuffle Kabin :rotfl:I also did a bit of mending whilst the sewing box was out, so a fairly productive day.
Nothing has changed with the stats as I haven't been anywhere, just the SFD tally so far.
Food 39.96 / 187.50
Petrol 0 / 225.00
Local food bank 0 / 3.00
Hair 0 / 62.50
Works Xmas Party 0 / 3.25 (Raffle contribution - goes to local charity)
Dentist 0 / 18.75 (Had my appointment and no costs were incurred so this will be going into the Mortgage OP Pot.)
Total 500.00 GBP
SFD 5 / 25
Declutter 0 / 20
Extra money earned/made 0 / 80.00

Good morning. Just read the blog today and am really impressed with everyone's achievements so far.
As NSK requested my reasons for doing this challenge are that I have substantial debt of my own and a house that I have had a lodger in but it's cost me a fortune. I've managed to keep my head above water just but now I've rented the whole house out, no longer have the bills to pay and have a very understanding partner who will let me just pay for the food each month I've got the opportunity of paying my debt off. NSKs challenge came at the right time for me to learn new money saving habits - I've been a long term lurker but have not achieved anything substantial.
So this month (today being the first day I will get the full rent of the house) I've got a very small budget and am budgeting for just three weeks (between start of challenge and payday). Other than that happy to take on other parts of the challenge. SFD yesterday and hopefully today. Ready to donate to charity at weekend. Shopping happening Saturday for week. Filling up with petrol today. Does anyone else put petrol on credit card then pay month after? Is this a good idea or not recommended? Finally will be trying to earn £80 to add to debt busting pot (I did find 6p when clearing out my house so have at least started!)1 debt in 100 days £48.43/£374 - over 10% paid!

Hi everyone,
planning a NSD today!Work still stressful and I honestly thought it was just me, but a colleague was nearly in tears because of our manager the other day  Instead of the chocolate though, I'm doing an apple crumble for pudding each evening and have started doing the 30 day shred again most evenings
Good luck everyone and keep going :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Morning!
Managed to bag a few hours over time so extra money to go towards CC1. I've worked out that I can pay that off when I get paid on the 25th then close that card and open a new one when it's closed for CC2 and start paying that off which I aim to do in 6 months, sooner if I can. CC2 is on a 0% card but I have found a better deal with my bank which means I'm more likely to pay it off quicker because I can just make bit payments as and when.
Found some greek yoghurt close to date in the fridge so going to make a yoghurt cake and some curry sauce later.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
grrrrrr really annoyed at the cat  came downstairs this morning to find he has destroyed my iphone charger cable by chewing it in numerous places all the way through to the wire  very annoyed as i am now going to have to break a sfd to replace it at a rip off £15
i do have a cheapo one but am wary to use it now as my step sister used a cheap one and it broke her iphone (something to do with voltage). luckily she managed to get a new phone for free from apple as long as she bought a new cable but i dont want to risk it. i wasnt even sure it was the real one he broke until i googled it and discovered the nearly invisible writing on the real one:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Morning all,
Almost one week in! All going well at Leaf HQ. Have really noticed a difference in spending!
OH’s parents coming for lunch on Sunday. Had considered a cheesecake but realised I would need to buy ALL of the ingredients AND a tin to make it in so we’re having apple turnovers with custard instead because I’ve got some YS puff pastry in the freezer and apples are cheap!
Also cutting down on alcohol has been really positive. Had a couple of stressful days at work and instead of calling into the supermarket and spending £6 on a bottle of wine (and £x on snacks and whatever else took my fancy…) I’ve been going home for a nice cup of herbal tea and an early night.
We’ve booked some free tickets for the recording of a BBC comedy show on Sunday evening. It’s only a short drive and we won’t spend anything while we’re there so I’m not counting it as my outing. Basically it’s watching TV with the broadcast step removed so not *really* cheating is it…?
Scores on doors:
SFDs: 6/25 [no money with mE so can’t spend today!]
Food: Still 153.32/180
Lunches: 5/20
Foodbank: 0/3
Christmas: 22.80/120
Monday made: 46/80
Misc Spending: 0/80
And personal goals:
AFDs: 6/25 [feeling the benefits]
Gym: 2/12
Tomorrow will be a spendy day with a couple of Xmas presents to order – already identified the cheapest retailers online and a top up shop for fruit & veg at the market and some lunch box treats from the poundshop! Also, going for my haircut which is my big treat. Seems a shame to waste “new hair” with a night in the flat but that’s NOvember for me…:)

Day off today and I am tired. Couldn't enjoy a lie in because I've got an estate agent coming round midday to take pictures and measure up for it to go on the market.
So I am pottering around, tidying things up and making it look all pretty. I did some decluttering last night. I had a four drawer thing that I used to keep toiletries and medicine and for some weird reason, cables in. Well, I went through and cleared out empty boxes and stuff that I knew I would never use. I have enough travel toothpaste to last me at least a year and pretty much the equivalent in beechams cold tablets.
I've got a few things to go to the charity shop and I'm going to go back through my wardrobe once the estate agent has been. I actually thought I had more shoes to go, but when I took out the shoe rack, there was only one pair left. Guess I'd already done that area, lol.
I don't have an outing planned this month, but I do have a weekend away. As this was planned, it has been budgeted for, travel costs only because even though I will be away for two nights I don't actually intend to spend anything, I will be staying with a friend. Booked the train tickets last night, using Quidco so got a little bit of money back and it has already tracked.
Once the estate agent has been I'm doing a tip run, storage run and dropping off the dvd's for webuy. No spending needed or going to be done. My plan was originally to make it to next Friday before spending, food, but now I am going away, and that is pre-planned and budgeted, I will get another three days!
Also, check out my CC amount, paid £450 to it from what was left in my account. I was considering using my emergency/present fund to clear a lot more, but as Christmas is coming I decided it was better to leave it as is, and I'm hoping for around £300 left at the end of this month to send over.Feb NST #4
