  • Another two OT shifts secured for me this month. It goes a long way to balancing where all the money will go in January - another SFD on the cards today though with a donation of 15 apples from a colleague. Thankfully I have ingrediants for a vegan apple crumble topping so I know what I will be doing tonight...; - )

    Afternoon :)

Yesterday was SFD number 4 hoorah!!!

Iwillsucceed - thanks for the posting! Gym's are tricky things - unless you can commit to it 3+ times a week, they work out expensive... I miss it when I don't go so I guess that's good... There are heaps of other ways to get fit though so don't beat yourself up hehe!!!

Can't get going today... am off to Manchester tomorrow and am not packed, and know I have stuff to do... Having a battle of wills - part of me is saying go buy a new holdall as all I have is a shoulder bag... other me is saying use shopping bags if you have to, to pack your clothes in... You're only putting them into the car, and out at the other end! Will see...
Gonna attempt to crop my own hair and save £10 there, then do remaining laundry and stuff... Maybe vac out the car and fill it up etc.

    Have a nice evening folks!!!

Quick update. No plans to spend today.

Have decided what I'm buying my secret santa for work. Found an idea for a "pub in a box" on the christmas mse forum - beer, glass, nibbles etc. something the guy will actually like and devour. I hate secret santa pressies that have a novelty value but are essentially useless. Last year I got straws with plastic moustaches on them!

I like the sound of this pressie, thanks for the head's up, I'll nip over to that thread now.:)

  • Another SFD today...unfortunately tomorrow is now going to be a spend day (and friday/saturday/sunday were already planned spend days as i'm going away for weekend) so may struggle with 25 days this month but determined to come as close to 25 as is possible.

Tomorrows spends can't be helped as i need to get a taxi to meet a colleague who has offered to give me a lift to a training session, its too early in the morning for public transport and its saving me the cost of a £45 train ticket by getting a lift so kind of MSE.

I didn't spend any money today! Yay, SFD for me! OH however, did go to the shop. He spent £13.66 on groceries and £5.99 on luxuries! (Beer and energy drink) The £13.66 will be subtracted from our monthly grocery budget of £200 and I'll note the £5.99 for reference, but as it not my money so I'm not counting it.

Also the decluttering is going backwards! A friend gave us three bags of clothes for DD and DS! So a sort out of all their clothes is now in order as they already have enough.

Three days post-chemo and my Mam is still doing great! It's really amazing and I am so relieved and thankful. This, more than anything else, is my biggest worry at the moment.

So anyway, today stacks up like this:

    Petrol 0/£67.50
    Groceries £26.52/£200
    'Outings' 0/£30
    Food Bank 0/£3

    Evening all,

SFD number 4 today :) and took lunch to work.

Tomorrow is a 13 hour day at work so as soon as I walked in the door today, I had a tray of flapjack so I have a piece for morning break and one for a late afternoon snack. Should be a SFD as well as will have no time during the day, just need to avoid popping to the shops on the way home when I'm tired.

Need to wrack my brain on more ways to make more money as I really want to cut this debt down asap. I've eB4yed most items that are not needed/used and the others don't look like they are in demand so will put them in the charity bag. My work doesn't have any OT :( Any ideas welcome?
