Good Afternoon Folks

My total budget for the month was £350 and I am left with £82.26. £12.26 of this is in change so is going in my terramundi, the £70 in notes will roll into my DDDecember budget.
I've just managed to pay £350, which is what was left in my current account, to my interest free credit card, will update the balance in my signature when it is payment confirmed.
I've really enjoyed this month's challenge, and having to really plan ahead for when to spend, and making the day's count and buying everything I could on those days, including internet purchases.
Everyone has done really well this month and it is true it is thanks to the help, and sometimes kicks, of everyone that they have.
Bring on DDD!Feb NST #4

Hello the end of November!!,
I think I've just about reached the end of the month victorious :j:j and it's in no small part to NSK and all you lovely people on here. Does any one else find themselves talking to the OH about people on the boards as if they're real people who they've just nipped out for coffee with? Fyggy's new job, shyspender already has 25 NSD's, Kat and Loveadove are finally debt free etc. (Perhaps I'm just outlining all the positive examples to spur them on)
Seriously though so many people have had a good month and the feel good factor rubs off on the rest of usA shining example of what we will one day reach if we stick with :money:.
This month has been good for me in that i've been able to claw back the overspend from October (cars and unexpected dental bill). I'm heading into December in good shape, of course I might not make it through in the same condition :rotfl: Also I have finally managed to pay off my Next account and will hopefully see off my Barclaycard next monthI've still got a long way to go but these little milestones help.
I don't think there are any downsides to this month.....I didn't manage the declutter as I'm now back on full duties and am knackered most days as I adjust to life at the sharp end after polishing a desk for 18 months. This just means I have something to focus on in the new year
For everyone who thinks they have failed this month please don't loose heart. Just think back to life before you found this forum...at least now your moving in the right direction and every step no matter how small is a positive and you should be proud. I was so bad at the first few challenges I couldn't even bring myself to post on them and just lurked, it takes a while to change the mindset that built up the debt so take heart and give December a whirl:)
The final score....

Oooooooh it's the final countdown!!!..
I am just washed and ready for bed - yup just over the illness and heading back into work for a night shift of overtime. Seriously - can you honestly see me cancelling this - NOPE! Mumsy is not impressed!
So happy that we are all ending on a happy note.. despite some despair and over-spending along the way there are some already signing up for another go in December and still raring to go... THAT is the spirit I wanted to foster. That no matter what comes our way we can help each other and we can push through to the bitter end..
My budgets...
SFD = FAIL.
Food Spends = FAIL
Lunches = WIN / Everyday I might add..
But I think a little better budgeting this month will see me through December and into 2014....
So I will be checking in again from work briefly at around 2330 to say good night to November and slam a little ditty down for December to kick start us into the last month of 2013...

I have utterly, utterly failed this month. I won't even post the figures as they are that lamentable. To be fair, I don't even know what the figures are at this at this stage which gives you an idea of how bad I have been.
Anyway, onwards and I pwards for Decembet. The entertainment budget might be a little stretched, though.
I started the month on such a high and couldn't wait to start November's challenge.
My figures are beyond what I budgeted for and the money has gone on MORE clothes for the Grandson, boots for me and a bulk buy from the butcher. I know I've not frittered it away on unnecessary items but it wasn't budgeted for so I feel rubbish at this now.
It's been a steep learning curve for me because it was all emotional spending particularly the stuff for my Grandson. I've spent far to much on stuff he doesn't really need.
Enough of these excuses now.
Please can I be added to the December challenge and I need to be alot more disciplined and get my act together. I think I might ask my friend to have the debit card for a month and not to let me have it even if I beg her.
There's lots of lovely positive posts on here so congratulations to those of you who have been successful. xNSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5

Afternoon all,
Last November check in for me.
SFD = failed 14 out of 25
Budgets = all exceeded as I set my budgets before a payment came out so I didn't even have the money I called my budget
Lunch to work = all except one day
Declutter = 24/20 and another box is in the process of being filled - I have so much stuff I don't need or want!
Money made = SUCCESS thanks to getting a tutoring jobI am also hoping to get a few hours temping during the Christmas holidays so will have extra money to throw at the debt
So, although I didn't get the SFD total, and didn't stay within my budgets, I have done a million times better than I would have before I found NSK. I have not got into any more debt, have paid off more money towards the debt, and its December and only 14 more work days until the holidays

Final declaration for November!
SFD: 23/25
Food: £57.41/£80 (but £22.98 of Nectar points used. If those are counted as money, I'm 39p over budget!)
Make £80: £244.23
Entertainment: £7.50/£50
This was my first month of moneysaving - it was October 28th that I sat down and really took a look at things. I estimated at the start that I could put a maximum of £300 a month aside, but I actually put aside £505.09! I also made £244.23 through consolidating accounts (closing bank accounts with small bit of money in it etc) and eBaying, Swagbucks, Apptrailers, selling old phone, and so on, which has also been added, meaning I have £749.32 to help pay things off this month! (I might edit this post in the future to remove these figures because I'm a little bit uncomfortable with having them "out there" so to speak, but I wanted you guys to see them because I wouldn't have managed it without this board! :j)
I'm on a pretty low income, and this month has been phenomenally strict. I'm already nervous about managing in December, because it will need to be equally strict but there's this thing that happens near the end of it that concerns me.. :xmassmile ...and even though it's only a day longer it feels like it's going to be a million years longer. I won't be able to "add on" as much (because all of my okay things have already been sold!) and there will be additional travel to do. So I'm worried but... bring on the December thread!
Anyway, without getting all Gwyneth on you, thank you all for your support and encouragement this month. I have done so much better than I would have managed on my own, and having you guys to keep me accountable has made a phenomenal difference on the NSD/not buying rubbish front. Thank you all - and see you next month! :TFebruary: 5/15 NSD0 -
Hi all,
Its time to own up so here goes...
SFD - 18/25
Failed the SFD part but think I did okay. One week I managed to be creative and do a lunch at short notice with what I had in the house rather than go out to buy rolls, pastries and so on. I feel that is one of my main achievements from November. However, the fail on the SFD leads me to confess a huge overspend on the food budget so clearly more work is required in order to stop the spending.
Food 418/300 - horrid fail
This is much more than I want to be spending though less than what I spent last month (500 something). I have been able to spend just 300 before and this is what I have to get back to. Planning & organisation is key and I have made a meal plan for December until Christmas which I will share in the Dec Challenge.
-Petrol 221/250 :T
- Local Food bank 3/3
- Declutter for Charity 15/20
Just moved to current house so have decluttered previously and with ill baby it wasn't possible to sort out more. However, as baby grows lots of things will be available to declutter.
- Extra money earned 220/80
Feel a little like a fraud here as I was supposed to list a baby crib on a secondhand site but didn't get around to it. If that had sold I think I would have got the 80. However, in preparation for end of year I went through my hours for work and found I had a few owed to me which I claimed. So that made me the 220. Sadly this surplus is already spent with my windscreen getting a crack from a stone on the mtorway and I've been told it will be 200 to fix...sigh...
- Christmas shopping 306,5/200
Exceeded budget for the month but has kept to overall budget for Christmas pressies, just ended up doing more of them in Nov rather than Dec which I'm okay with. I have been fairly good this year, budget scaled back and kept to. Also used some vouchers and lojalty points on gifts to keep costs down.
Outing - had one and kept to budget :T
Toiletries 0/10 - didn't need any, didn't buy any
Birthday gift for bro 20/20
Some really valuble lessons learned this month and I am really grateful that I can be part of this challenge and get to share in everyone's strength. Congratulations to all for completing this month - see you all in December :jFinally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!
