Morning all!
Well done Fyggy :j
NSK-You have come down with what I've got:( It started as a few aches and pains on the weekend and became full blown on Sunday night. I've been off work as my head became fussy and the most excruciating pain emitting out of my eyes! It's horrid. The body pain has now been replaced with me constantly going hot and cold and I'm still bunged up. I told my manager, I'll try to be back for friday:o She's told me to come back Monday, bless her, but I'll see how I go!
But, on the back of that, I have spent nothing :T Even though it was killing me, I did not order takeaway for me and the kids. I cooked something (however dreadful)!
I honestly cannot believe how quickly the months have been going! The good thing is, we can all see a difference this way of thinking will make and before we know it, we will be free. It's only if we carry on as we were, that the DFD will seem unattainable
Well done everyone-not long till december now and well done NSK and all the others who not have long to go :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

:jCongratulations Fyggy! :jHope the new job is all you want in mind, soul and bank account!
SFD here today, and pay day for me! So I've totted up total of debts (I always do this on pay day as that's when I can tell what the OD have been doing) and I have less than £7000 of debt! It's still a long way to the finish, but celebrating these small milestones along the way really helps keep me going.
Hope everybody has a lovely day, and hugs to those battling colds and flu etc.

Smiling already....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

Hi All
Haven't been on here for a while. It's been a disastrous weekend and I'm only just recovering. On Sunday OH wanted to buy a microwave as a lot of his gluten-free puddings are quicker to microwave rather than use a hob which can take between 30-45 minutes. We also brought a freezer as ours was overfreezing and the door was actually broken. OH took the freezer to the recycling centre whilst I started sunday dinner. The cooker door smashed into pieces whilst heating up and the door came off it's hinges. It would have cost us £300+ to get a replacement door so decided to buy a new cooker which was delivered yesterday, so I can start cooking again.
So budgets have been all blown this month and rather having some savings to start the year, we will be starting with a small credit card bill:(:(. Hoping to be back on track in a few months. Would like to join the December challenge next month to ensure I stay on budget. I only have a few more presents to get for Christmas then I am all done for that department.

Hello one and all
Well done and congratulations FYGGY on your new job:T:T:T:T:T:T
Finished my nights this morning (they have been very looonngg and eventful....) and have achieved 4 days spend free as all ive done is work, eat and sleep. Had 3 hours sleep this morning before my alarm went off but would very happily go right back to bed now, but I know I wont sleep tonight if I do.
Have to be up early tomorrow morning:( as giving a friend a lift to the airport, although on the plus side she is giving me some money for doing so:):).
Not much else to say really, desperately needing a few bits but will try and hang on till Friday, half the reason being cant be bothered to get dressed and venture out.
Think I might go and wrap some Christmas presents, plus sort out what I still need to get.

Hello
Long-time lurker here, who plans to tackle the mortgage-free quest head on for 2014. I've been watching the NOvember thread with interest and doing what I can where I can (sponsoring several moustaches for that whole other November event has pushed things a bit awry though)!
However, I'd like to throw my hat into the ring for December please, if that's OK? I should have 2 weeks off over Christmas so I'm planning on taking a hard look at the finances and starting a MFW diary for 2014. We already live a very MSE lifestyle and I'm floundering with working out where the extra cash for OPs could come from, so I'm really hoping that following the challenges over here will help me to be a little more inspired!
Thank you for having me and for such a kind and happy thread!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

Ooft. Today has been A Day. Can't really go into details but have been made to feel like myself and my work are clearly incredibly valued and, obviously entirely unrelatedly, I'm looking into jobs to apply for. Good job I'm getting used to living on almost nothing...
...In other news, today was not a good day to start the "2" part of the 5:2 diet! I'm still on track (had my calories as lunch!) but think it might be an early night to distract me from eating!
Another NSD for me today, aiming not to spend anything else before the end of the month so I should clock in at 23. Luckily, stomping round my house whilst raging is completely free! I went out for a walk this afternoon - not sure I've ever managed that route that quickly before! :rotfl:
Finally, well done Fyggy! Great news to go into a new month with! :TFebruary: 5/15 NSD0
