Siouxsie there is no way I will get away with this one. It's such a busy road leading to the M25 that they are out for all they can get.I can't get too stressed about it. I am being to complacent on the bike and I would rather this as a wake up call than being under the wheels of a lorry.
For breaky I put 1/2 cup of oats, squashed banana, 1 cup almond milk, some almonds, sunflower seeds, shredded coconut and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds into a tub in the fridge over night - good to go with a quick whizz in the microwave or cold. Very Yummy!
I also have a green smoothie made and ready to go. It's expensive having these every morning but I have noticed a massive difference in my skin and won't go back to not having them ...(spinach, banana, apple, pear, celery, wheatgrass powder, kale leaves if I have them and flat leaf parsley..)
I have not had a good look at Windows 8 yet so perhaps I should. I am just not sure what would happen if it got stolen while I travel.. I would be gutted and it would not be easy replacing it although I would make provisions to buy a replacment as it's always a possibility... I think I need to get through to my DFD before I can think of buying myself anything like that....It just doesn't sit well with me at the moment although I know I can't work off my netbook for too much longer - it's kinda why you don't hear from me on MSE in the evenings:rotfl:.. I just can't deal with such a small screen for too long....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Slightly hopeless couple of days on the no spending money. Friday could have been a nsd, but didn't plan dinner properly so spent £2.50 on a pizza and garlic bread for kids, plus £3 on lunch for following day.
Had a great day in London but completely overspent. Train was a lot more than the internet said, dinner was more expensive than I thought and the winter wonderland thing in hyde park was extortionate! The best bit was walking through hyde park and seeing the sunset. Overspent by about £30!!!!
Got to spend money today as well to get shopping - got about £12 left in shopping budget so this should be interesting!
Did manage to donate about 14 books to the charity shop though.Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000 -
Nsk- it is a remortgage to another provider for slightly less amount. I'm with coop and they pulled all their good deals just before I was able to apply. The deal I have got is way better than they could offer me but is actually the same rate coop were doing before they pulled it but with all these fees
still works out better though as payments the same but knocked 12 years off
Siouxsie- my sis is buying a Mac with her bday money and apparently it will be black Friday this Friday and they always have good discount. Perhaps worth waiting until then?:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Thank you so much apple muncher life saver. Tried E45 cream and was still itching. Extra virgin olive oil calmed it down straight away. Thanks again x
Glad it worked! E45 cream, and most other emollients are petroleum-based, and I don't want to be putting something made of crude oil on my skin!
Yesterday was our super busy socialising day. I took dd to her tap and ballet while dh went to the church to sort out the PA for the wedding (pesky electricians had disconnected, unplugged and moved it all. Grrrrrrrrr). Home from dancing, lunch, change and quickly out for lovely wedding. Music and sound were lovely, so well done dh! Back home and made a minion costume for today, had tea and out for a 40 min drive to a friend's 60th. Dd loved the dancing but had 2 meltdowns, not surprising as the party started after her usual bedtime! Left early and all snuggled in bed to sleep together until her snores meant we could move her to her own bed.
However, unbelievably, yesterday was a NSD!:j:j:j
I've been playing with book and dvd and cd selling sites. Most of my stuff is worthless, or only worth pennies! But will try to build up a pile of enough to make £20 on mus1c magp1e. It led to a good chat with dh about selling other stuff on fleabay, as for example, something mm were offering me about £2 for had sold on fleabay for over £10. It's all in the research! Dh will post them if I do the photos and description, so it sounds like a good partnership.
Enough wittering. Off to take my 'minion' to kidz klub. Despite being all worn out from yestetday, she adamant she must go!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Ooh, thanks for the info! I thought they only did Black Friday in the states? I'm working all week anyway so I'll probably not get the chance to go in before then anyway0 -
Morning all
Well this month is slooooow and I am not doing well at all.....:(
Went Xmas shopping yesterday and ended up buying myself a picture £48 and I've bought myself a laptop too as my computer kept dying on me and didn't have a genuine copy of windows on it anymore. my bank shifts will cover these costs but it means less money to overspend on the mortgage.
I'm back to work tonight on night shifts x 3 so hopefully this will help with the SFDs, boy I need them. Although feeling knackered at the minute and don't think Ill get anymore sleep beforehand.
Has anyone been reading the skintdad blogs, as inspiring as our very own NSK who is so near to being debt free:j:j:j. really would like to be a fly on the wall the minute that happens (although not in a creepy stalking sense you understand).
Anyway really must get out of bed, half the trouble of having a laptop you can catchup from bed

Mrs GSR I sympathise with how you are feeling. Do take time out to look after yourself. I find that sometimes writing a list of what is bothering/overwhelming me and putting it to one side often helps my brain defug a little. And keeping off the sugar and caffeine, which is super hard as that's what I reach for automatically, almost without realising until it's too late.
Pamper yourself - long bath, something entertaining to read, hot water bottle and snuggle up in bed. Sounds perfect! Sending you big hugs:grouphug:NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
So yesterday was a bit of a bust. Meant to be a NSD but I gave in and went to the supermarket and got some treats. I'm feeling a mixture of guilty and not-guilty today as a result - bad for ruining a NSD and really bad for spending money on things I didn't strictly need, but also trying to be gentle on myself because if my big spend of the month is going to be £10 on treats (including my favourite meal and all taken out of my £80 food budget, which still has money left and shouldn't need much more than some milk taken out of it before the end of the month... And 90p is coming back as cashback from Shoptize... I might be overjustifying this!) I'm probably doing okay. Maybe? Ugh, feelings - go away, you're not helping!
Today is definitely a NSD though. Tomorrow should be the last spend day of the month as I'm going out with friends. I was tempted to cancel to save money and NSDs, but am convincing myself there's no point isolating myself from humanity for the sake of £5-ish.
Having a bit of a blah weekend where I feel sorry for myself but I'm not sure, at this point, how to fix the problem. I somehow need to stop always being the bridesmaid/pet sitter and get myself a life (but really, really cheaply!) :doh:February: 5/15 NSD0 -

I feel the same. I really do. Gonna have a whinge on my personal diary tonight so feel free to come join in.....:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
