How about Genoa/Portofino - Torino - Verona - Vicenza or Padua - Venice. Not much back-tracking or time wasted on travel, and plenty to see.
Florence, Tuscany and Rome for another visit?0 -
Thank you so very much for all the links, time and trouble to reply on this thread, very much appreciated:D
Thank you for the links to the coach trips, unfortunately will not be taken them up at nearly £1,000 each person -£2,000 for us two is too much and would not spend that myself if I did it with my own itinery?
LOSTIN my dates are sat May 3 for a week, comes up as 1670 euros for the week with your link.
Travel republic had flights and 8 nights in Rome for £783 that is more like it:D:D:D Groupon always do 2 or 3 nights in Rome for a few hundred ££, or Venice.
I did see your link poet thank you.
I was thinking (madness maybe) £1,000 for the 2 of us for the week but has to at least include breakfast, can't see Venice providing half board for that;)
Obviously spending money seperate...
I wouldn't look at half board. Italian hotel breakfasts are not great ( usually) and expensive for what they are, the same amount spent in an esselunga, coop, or billa will buy breakfast for a few days, not just one.0 -

If you are only staying 3 days Al Malcanton or Abbazia are both a good bet.0

I found that out, just rang travel republic and they had venice and no breakfast, so asked about including it and she said £282:eek::eek: thought I had misheard her but she said no, it was an extra £282.
Spent an age on trip advisor and practically all reviews on the breakfast is yuck, don't bother:o
Also whatever review, report you read it say my oh my Italy is so very expensive, just read one that he felt so hard done by at how much they were charging that he said he would never go back there again that for the money he had to pay out he could have gone further afield for longer and got more for it.0 -

Al malcanton was not available or was not online R for coming soon think that was the one, getting confused now:rotfl: spending a lot of time of this, following every single link and emailing apartments, trip advisor, travel republic, Thompson, Thomas Cook, rang up Groupon but not for the dates, have googled so much getting square eyes:rotfl: thank you for the help though, very grateful, thank you:D0 -
Perhaps consider a hotel in the Cannaregio district of Venice.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
