Raining here, but the wind has dropped. I suspect that this is the lull before the storm:(Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

Well since I last posted its all gone quiet.......very quiet.
Friends a few miles up the road are saying it's blowing a gale, so guess it's coming.
I've still got the doors and windows open.
EDIT.......on teletxt the amber warnings have been taken off and down to yellow for rain and nothing for wind....may just be a normal day then.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Its been a blustery day here with spells of sunshine but quite sharp downpours on times. then in the last couple of hours the wind has dropped - to nothing! its started raining again and I have had a headache for the last half hour (such a rare event I felt I had to mention it! I do get headaches before storms).
I also note that some neighbours have just left their bins out on pavement as usual - rofl - they can be collected from the pub car park at the bottom of the hill on Monday then! idiots!0 -
It's not actually due until after midnight.
The South West is due to feel it between 1am-7am. It will be later for those further north & east.

Hmmm, just surfaced from my bath tub, like Venus arising from the foam (but lardier
) and thought it might be a bit dodgy having the bathroom window open to let the steam out....
But it's almost a flat calm and dry - waiting for all hell to break loose tomorrow, prolly just as I'm leaving for work. Still, at least both me and the flat are spotless. I even cleaned the hob - get me!Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

oh I am really tired now and my body wants to go to bed, I think I will give in and go up as it is very calm out now and just raining moderately. No doubt I will wake up with the noise when it all kicks off. It should be finished here by 8 am and tbh I`ll be glad to get back to normal. In the meantime, good luck to everyone0
