Nokia N95 - best deals?

Just signed up for the following 18 month contract with Vodafone...
200 mins,500 texts
£27 per month, first 15 months 1/2 price.
£50 for the N95.
Had to take out the second contract, £10 per month, which can be canceled after the first month.
Got the standard 3 months insurance and 1 month internet access too.
Does any one know how restrictive the Vodafone internet access is?
Also, can I use VoIP over WiFi using the N95?
Cheers,
Andy.0 -
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Hi. Was this a retention deal, or are you a new customer. If you are the latter, did you call up and ask for this deal specifically, or were you offered it. Thanks0 -

Why did you have to take out a 2nd contract? You'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0 -
I just got offered vodafone phones4u retention deal - n95 free 12months, 500mins, 250texts, 120mb vodafone internet, unlocked phone for £40 inc vat.
While it's not super hot, i can't seem to see much else out there that's better. I really think i'd use the internet for skype etc, so I'd prefer tmobiel or 3 but tmobile is crazy expensive and 3 don't do 12month deals. Even if they did they would prob be a bit expensive. I'd like to get that £40 down... I only need 250 mins max. Anyone seen anything better out there?0 -
Go into phones 4u and haggle. They offered me similar to the above and also to pay off my existing contract for me.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Well done on getting that deal mate. You can ring up and cancel the £10 a month SIM right away if you don't want to pay the tenner (You have a 14 day cancellation period). I even blagged a CS rep to refund the £1.32 I was going to be charged for the 3 days my £10 a month SIM was connected.
And about the VOIP, you need to debrand the N95 first. You can't VOIP using the Vodafone firmware.0 -

I'm a new customer. I called and asked specifically, saying that a collegue got the same deal back in June. I called a few times... twice the sales person told me that the offer had finished. On the third time the chap went to speak to his manager, and said I could have the deal! Seems like a bit of a strange system they have going on a Vodafone...
They obviosuly expect you to keep the second £10 contract, thus they make more money from you and are happy to give you a better deal on the first contract. I'll be cancelling it straight away though!0 -

I did that today, and all i could get was free n95, £35 for 9 months, 700mins, 250 txt, £40 after 9 months, no 120mb internet, 18 months contract! I told them what I was offered and they wouldn't accept it. Looks like I'll be taking this retention offer. Rang vodafone and they gave me an equally crap offer.

I just rang for this deal. He said the deal was available but the phone was £150 ? I couldn't progress from there, at all ! How did you get it down to £50 ? Also what does the £10 sim do ? How many texts and minutes does it have ? I don't really understand how it works .. Sorry for being thick !0
