I got a "welcome" letter this morning from Vodafone confirming the price plan " Anytime 300 half price for the first 6 months + 10% off line rental with Vodafone Passport"
Did anyone else get such a letter?
Will be on the phone straight away...
I got a letter stating 3 months @ half price but after a quick phone call they confirmed it is 15 months @ half price:DMoney saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -

To those who have debranded Voda - is 121 (voicemail) still working for you? Mine doesn't:-( I don't use voicemail - only want to disable it.
Also, check my account online, I got "6MHP10%LR50%EM" as part of my price plan. That seems to indicate "6 months half line rental", although when I phoned up, they confirmed I am on "15 months" - a bit confusing. What do others on this deal get?
Mine has 6MHP too. Rang up and was told my price plan was only 6MHP but the guy looked in my account notes and it said 15MHP there. If they start charging me full price on the 7th month I'll be kicking up a big fuss.
How do I go about disabling voicemail. Don't want it either. Does 121 cost anything to call?0 -

It's not a bad deal, though it is just what Orange are offering on their website now. In terms of cost, it works out just ever-so slightly more expensive than the Vodaphone deal I got (free handset/6months@13.50+12month@£27) but you do get more a lot more minutes and texts (I get 300mins and 100 texts, you can also choose 200 minutes and 500 texts).
If you can use the broadband, the value of the deal increases substantially, with two provisos.
First, I'd pay the £5 a month to get the faster (8MB), "unlimited" Orange broadband service rather than the slower 2MB free basic service, which has a fairly low monthly download cap limit.
Secondly, reports about the quality of the Orange broadband service seem to vary wildly from area to area, depending on the exchange you are using. So it's worth considering carefully, if you/she already has a stable broadband service you are/she is happy with.
Also note that to make use of the Orange broadband, you will also need to have a telephone landline from BT (or possible an equivalent landline supplier - not sure if it has to be BY or not).
So without the broadband, it's a decent deal. With the broadband, if you are in a good area for Orange (check the internet forum for more discussion on this) and are aware of the potential extra costs (for a landline and the £5 a month for ublimited service) it can potentially be a very good deal, especially if it means you can get rid of your current broadband provider and save the money from that.0 -

I'm still waiting for my number to be ported over so not sure, but can't you just change your call call divert settings in the menu, so that they never divert (ie the phone will always ring out instead of diverting callers to voicemail)?
As for the cost of calling your voicemail, according to this:
http://http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatch/Portal/appmanager/vodafone/wrp?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=template10&pageID=PPP_0041
it is 18 p per minute (same as landline calls and calls to other Vodafone mobiles). I assume it comes out your free minutes...?0 -
anyone know any deals on the N95 that includes internet usage? Looing for around £35 per month tops. Vodafone (or one of their agents) offer a good deal for £35 per month with free N95 and 1GB microSD card, free mins + texts, but I think I'll be using the internet side a fair bit and could do with something being thrown in.matched betting: £879.63

You won't get the phone cheap with that kind of deal though (at least not that I can find!)

I've asked T-Mobile (as I'm with them currently) to match Vodafones offer, but extend it to 18 months rather than the 12 months (so extra 6 months for them as an incentive), and then throw in W'n'W for free. Dont know if they'll go for it or not but looking at some of those tariffs, the flext 30 with wnw is £37.50 with £99.99 for the phone, so they'd have to knock a total of about £145 off, which I reckon is doable.matched betting: £879.63
