Over by a couple of £ so not bad at all!
£30 for 2 for food only is very doable I can manage on £30-40 for 4 (one being only 3 an one a baby but still!)
I do a lot of reduced meat shopping and lidl/aldi shop, bulk cooking etc.
I also usually do a tesco shop with a £12 off £60 spend once a month too and stock up on deals.I'm C, Mummy to DS 29/11/2010 and DD 02/11/2013

Morning all
I've done my final count and so far I have spent a decent amount of January's budget (my month starts on the 18th) and I have £154.99/££225 left.
I nearly bought a turkey in M&S last night but it was still a tenner (although a good size) and I thought practically about it and decided that, for me, it wasn't a bargain. I normally won't pay over a fiver for a decent sized chicken, so I would have been buying for the sake of it.
I had a good run at the sales yesterday though, spending around £45 for £111 of stuff for next year's Christmas gifts :rotfl: It's good to know it's already begun0 -

Well done, have to agree with you on getting meat instead of the bread stuff, makes more sense when struggling for freezer space.
I had a loaf left over from mu haul as just could not fit it in not even split and packed in slices, so I made some tiny croutons and dried them and breadcrumbs also something I haven't tried before,I have dried some whole slices which I am hoping will do for bread pudding. Well I thought the bread is soaked anyway so should work. Will have to see how long it keeps though.Slimming World at target0 -
Wow people are getting some fab bargains
I have 2 pots of extra thick cream sat in my fridge that I picked up for 5p each yesterday - no idea what I'm going to do with them but they have tonnes and for 10p I thought I'd pick a couple up. Not sure if I can make butter out of the extra thick stuff...? Or really, how I'd even do it! What have others done with extra think cream?
Actually, as it goes I've just realised we also have some double cream in door that didn't get used up over Christmas.... oh 'eck...
We never have any luck freezing cream so at a loss what to do with it...April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
