Did anyone catch superscrimpers earlier in the week? Honestly thought it was pretty rubbish. The old popstar who spent £2k for Christmas dinner should have just hung out here! We've got plenty of hints and tips!M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
Sorry to hear about that. Hope he gets well soon.

A spend of £18.69 today, most of this was on toiletries as my husband needed blades which are £10
I paid the total in either vouchers or 20p coins through the self service :j
I forgot to say that my total is up to date.£36/£240

I stopped watching superscrimpers because it just made me angry
and can do without the stress at my age :rotfl:
It could be done so well and help a lot of people if done properly. They have the resources to research and find the people who could really contribute helpful money saving ideas, but no ridiculous old popstar who can spend £2k on a Christmas dinner,
would be more impressed if he had fed 2,000 people on this.
OK rant over as said getting angry does me no good at all.Slimming World at target0 -
NSD again today which is good!
Bf back tonight but just going to cook him some chicken dippers and chips from the freezer (we picked some up when he was at the supermarket with me) rather than pay £5.50 to order in the same!!
We're going away for the weekend tomorrow once I have finished at work but on to a winner as bf's parents are bringing the breakfast/snack bits we need so a saving for us and, like us, are happy eating out on offers so yay!
I will pick up some chocolate and soft drinks to take though :-)************************************

£19.77 spent today so total now £45.64 Brought a few food bits for Christmas.
We have been eating from stock and tonight we had some chilli that was left over a while ago with a jkt potato. (picture not good but it was nice - don't usually use mince for chilli as we prefer something like skirt beef cut small)MARCH £62.38/2500 -

03-12-13 £45.75 in Tesco mainly food but £2 on wrapping paper and 32.50 on photocopier paper
First spend since today at Aldi since the overspend debacle of the photocopier paper :rotfl:( Who put the £ sign and the 3 on the same key!!!)
Unfortunately I have only just realised that Aldi had a money off voucher! Never mind I am still pleased with my £40.05 shop. My son is home from Uni this weekend and it would normally mean I buy lots of treats and we either have a takeaway or a meal out. Like a lot of mums I try to show love by spoiling my loved ones with food. However I have instead planned some frugal (but hopefully tasty) meals and have done some home baking.
I noticed the Aldi Pink Lady apples have gone up to £1.99 for six so I decided to give them a miss, partly because the last pack I bought had that horrible thing where apples look alright on the outside but are going rotten in the middle. Bought two packs of the 69p Clementines instead.
I have also broken a lifetime habit of buying the Radio Times Christmas edition. At £3.20 it's pretty pricey compared to the 90p TV Choice magazine that I decided to buy. We tend to use the TV menu nowadays anyway.Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -
This week will be a funny week meal wise as I am on 12 hour shifts.
Friday- prawn mini kebabs with spring rolls and fried veg.
Saturday- Bacon, egg and hash browns.
Sunday- Chicken dinner.
Monday- TITH
Tuesday- Pizza
Wednesday- Quiche and chips.
Thursday- Marinaded pork chop with spring rolls and fried veg.
All of this is from the fridge, freezer or cupboards. I'm hoping to spend very little this week before the BIG shop next week:eek:£36/£240
