In case you haven't seen the mse email. There is a 5 off 40 pound shop in ald1 voucher in the mirror tomorrow. :)

So now I have a dilemma, I don't need an ald1 shop but the 5 off is tempting me ......

If you don't need a £40 shop, hang onto to your money, there maybe another offer that saves you more or, if you can. go to your local store at reduction time. My neighbour has just brought me 4 pots of reduced single cream, usually £1, 10p each. and 2 packs pitta breads 10p . Bless her she wouldn't take the 50p she said it was a thank you for telling her about the £4 a kilo beef in Asda.

    So that's my £5 saved plus a prezzie for a NO spend.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

A spend of 70p here on pop for the car. I will need to spend tomorrow though, I am really pleased that I got through the week on under £10. I think that is the first ever time :o

Good GC day - got £5.10p of shopping at Aldo - paid - 10p as had a £5 voucher.
    Had one of those days.
Carpet fitter came earlier than booked. Then I had to empty out the bottom of a fitted cupboard/wardrobe - which was heaving! After carpet was fitted - we have no bedroom door - needs to be trimmed. Plus have no door on the fitted cupboard/wardrobe!
Thought I may as well empty the top of the cupboard and have a good sort out. What a job! Got two big bags ready for the charity shop. Still not finished sorting out but bedroom fine to sleep in.
Change of menu was called for - had nearly same as yesterday - swapped baked beans for black pudding. Was so hungry after all the exertion - didn't matter that it was almost a duplicate meal.
We had HM wedges + black pudding + toasted HM linseed bread + mushrooms + poached egg.

Had to ask as I can't work this one out though it does create some funny images. Pop for the Car ?

Mr Li*l had £6.26 of my pennies today in exchange for 2x milk, 2x sugar and 2x muesli.

No dinner today as I was at course today and DH working away.

Pretty sure this would mean a bottle of fizzy cola or similar to drink in the car...

I could be wrong though :rotfl:
  • Spent £6.40 on two coffees (one for me one for my line manager) and a muffin yesterday as we were exhibiting in the city centre and needed them after setting up. Can't believe the price in the major chains now! Would have had to take it from the grocery budget as I had already submitted work expenses BUT when back at the office for lunch our lovely accounts lady took my receipt to add it on so I will get it back. Also spent £8 on two Christmas cards but again different budget so NSD for me - yay!

Looking at my budgeting ready for the next pay check; want to save £75 extra (minimum) on my usual £225 and am limiting myself to £40 personal/sale spends - no clothes as they either won't fit long if they are maternity or won't fit for a while if non-maternity! Need to get stricter on my 'personal'/'pocket' money!

:rotfl: That gave me a laugh :rotfl:

I keep a couple of 2ltr bottles of cheap fizzy pop in the car and plastic beakers. Then we are never caught out having to buy expensive drinks when we are out :D I also keep a couple of old small bottles to fill if we are going somewhere where it would be hard to get back to the car.

This one tip must have saved me over a £100 since I read it somewhere on here :T
