Spent £17.55 today in Morri$ons this included some lamb (my favourite), bacon and fruit & veg. Didn't get to A!di on Thursday as we decided we didn't need that much.
I even managed to walk around Te$co with mum and not buy anything !!!! :T
Certainly using things up better as don't remember throwing anything away this week apart from cutting about 1/2 inch off a cucumber. A couple of rounds of bread went into the freezer as they were stale but will use up as breadcrumbs later.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
Spent a small fortune at the farm shop today, not sure whether we'll get there again before Christmas ( it's in a bit of a remote place so don't want to risk driving there if we get snow ) so decided to stock up. Got 1kg mince, 1kg of stewing steak, a large chicken, some rump steak, 2 different type of sausages ( 12 in total ) that will do us a few meals as they're chunky sausages and sausagemeat for the Turkey at Christmas
. Also got a few treats: chocolate cake, chutney, pate, scones and cheese. Spent £60.99 in the end and still have my supermarket shop to do but shouldn't need much meat, if any at all, before Christmas now. Just as well I upped our budget for the month!

Hello everyone
It's only 7th and I'm already up to £124 out of £300 for the month, so will have to be careful next week! We do have some mince, braising steak and salmon fillets in the freezer, and chicken and sausages in the fridge, so that's plenty for the next two weeks.
I have a load of Nect@r points that will more than cover my food spend for December (and half of January, too!), about £20 in the butchers savings club, so am fairly hopeful that I'll come in on budget, for the first time ever! :rotfl:

Well I used my other voucher today at Aldi, I stocked up on a lot of tinned items that could be eaten cold if needed. The likes of tinned potatoes, hot dogs, corned beef and minced beef.
I feel safer now
Using 2 vouchers in 2 days has meant that the house is now bursting with foodI have around 64 frozen sausages
I have just done a meal plan for the week to try and use some of this in the best way.
Friday- We just had chicken breasts diced in a spicy marinade with hm bombay potatoes and 2 spring rolls each.
Saturday- Will be the rest of the chicken that I chopped the breasts off made in to curry and turmeric rice and some hf prawn crackers.
Sunday- Sausage with onion mash and veg and gravy.
Monday- HM pizza and garlic bread.
Tuesday- Pork chops with roast potatoes and veg.
Wednesday- Chilli and hm egg fried rice.
Thursday- Sausage casserole with yorkshire pudds.
Tomorrow will be a NSD :A
