Well I used my other voucher today at Aldi, I stocked up on a lot of tinned items that could be eaten cold if needed. The likes of tinned potatoes, hot dogs, corned beef and minced beef.
    I feel safer now :D
Using 2 vouchers in 2 days has meant that the house is now bursting with food :o I have around 64 frozen sausages :p

I have just done a meal plan for the week to try and use some of this in the best way.

Friday- We just had chicken breasts diced in a spicy marinade with hm bombay potatoes and 2 spring rolls each.
Saturday- Will be the rest of the chicken that I chopped the breasts off made in to curry and turmeric rice and some hf prawn crackers.
Sunday- Sausage with onion mash and veg and gravy.
Monday- HM pizza and garlic bread.
Tuesday- Pork chops with roast potatoes and veg.
Wednesday- Chilli and hm egg fried rice.
Thursday- Sausage casserole with yorkshire pudds.

Tomorrow will be a NSD :A

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

I don't think the eggs look particularly nice, so I've been put off buying them. Also a friend had an allergic reaction to some toiletry products from lidl and I've got more sensitive skin than her so that's put me off too.

And I've been bought up in a world where money buys good quality alcohol (and from my uni days had it confirmed that cheap wine tastes like vinegar) so i haven't tried their booze.

I'm not as bad as I used to be - I've been trying one extra thing a week and most times I've not really noticed a difference. Except my holiday fund for next year is getting bigger!

Definitely ought to try some of the Lidl wines. I buy most of my wine there, seems much better value than most of the other SMs and some very good wines indeed from there.

meg...my kids love the chicken bits in the party foods i like prawns but ds ia allergic to them so im scared to have them in the house....i stick to chicken when i buy and have tried a couple of the puddings...i do find the adverts daft when they have a huge selection on the buffet table id be hard pressed to fit them in my oven
i do think the party nibbles add a bit of interest to a buffet particularly for kids

£28.89 spent today by Mr Shortie, which is nicely under £40 allocation (£40 planned for this week, £40 for next)

Well chuffed. Plus he bought some bacon for breakfast tomorrow, yum - though I'm under no doubt that his Dad was the influcence for that, sigh... (his parents are staying for the weekend)

£80.38 worth of groceries today at Mr. T today for £63.74. After cashback and coupons this reduced to £52.91. Included 3 crates of beer for £21 - some for Hubbs, and one as FIL's Christmas gift.

I spent £56.93 already this month, so £109.84 so far. I normally don't include alcohol or Christmas presents in my budget, as they are bought so infrequently. I'll stick at £88.84.

I sometimes buy Li*l large free-range eggs and they are ok

And although I have champagne tastes and beer money :rotfl: I do like their wines with the little gecko on the label

Went to our new Morrys today for the first time for a browse and only spent £21.07. Must say quite impressed with all the choice and the fact that you can buy lots and lots of things singly instead of huge bagfulls - save on food waste eh ;)

Had to change dinner today as DH saw some fish he wanted for a change so made cheese, onion and potato bake and had with fish and b. beans (all out of stock) - slowly getting things down :j
