£75.92 spent in Tesco this evening. I know i could have got it cheaper from Aldi and/or Morrisons, but i was so tired i didnt really want to drive 25mins there and 25mins back.
Tesco is only 2 mins around the corner.

Am going to make some sausage rolls at the weekend. Does anyone know how long they will last in an air tight container?

Hope the weather isn't too wild where you are - I have half a tree upside down in my garden that has come over the fence!

Anyway - on to report some spending

Rabbit food £4, groceries £61.14 (including some Christmas food and a bulk shop of tinned items, jars, flour, pasta, oil, butter, margarine, cheese and lactose free milk for my youngest son).

Spend now at £107.23. Still optimistic I can stay within budget as my store cupboard is looking good.:j

    Have a nice evening.

    .

Going to start saving for Christmas properly from January's pay. Only £20 or so a month but every little will help as we will host Christmas next year!

Its a very good idea to save a little bit every month for xmas. For the last 2 years starting in November I save a pound a day so that next November I have £365 this takes care of all my Christmas spends. I also start stocking up in the xmas sales, wrapping paper cards etc and presents for birthdays and next Christmas. I just love the Boots 75% off.

It saves me a lot but also means no more stressful xmas.

Just a small spend on milk and paper to get aldi voucher. £1.01. I just went to local shop and was blowing a gale with neighbours fence coming down and quite a few branchs coming off trees. Quite scary.

I received my Sun offer morrisons £10 voucher this morning but am a bit confused, it says on it can only be exchanged if intact, not separated along perforated edge but it has arrived already separated. Anyone else got theirs?

I spent £13.99 in lidl today. Very impressed with my haul.
I think I am still a bit of a snob as I still wouldn't buy some products at lidl, but I think for the price it's worth trying at least once.

Just curious - what wouldn't you buy at Li*l

I don't have to worry about that in our house - DH makes sure they don't need to last long :rotfl:

It's a good idea. I've joined the SPC challenge to save for my hols next year but most use it for Chrissy saving and open 'pots' end of Nov each year.

Had another 'freezer' dinner of salmon, with hm duchess pots, hollandaise sauce and steamed carrots (still on Li*l specials) courgette and peas YUM  I will probably make risotto tomorrow as have some rice left, some chicken stock in freezer (tick) and have parmesan in fridge ;)

Just 79p for milk DH brought home from Li*l (good chap) :)

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

I was going to save up each month from February this year as that's when I started work and was getting a decent wage however bf and I felt it better that I focus on getting rid of my overdraft first (just £200 of the original £1000 to clear and I only started saving in to that in June!) I go on Mat leave in March but should still be able to pocket £20 per month which will give me £220 come the start of December, and then if I get a bonus from work I will use half, save half and I save £75 a month anyway to pay for hotels at tournaments etc so will work on half of that (only 4 a year) being 'ours' for events/birthdays/Christmas etc :-)

Today will be a NSD, and next spends will be our 'Christmas shop' on Sunday :-)

Will be baking with my mum tomorrow and decorating her house for Christmas, dad is buying the baking stuff for us :-)

NSD for me today as won't be going out as DH has the car and done main shopping yesterday, although DH used up the last of the mayo this morning so have added that to my Tuesday shopping list as that is the next planned shopping day. I'm sure we can last without mayo for a few days, LOL!

It has me worried as well Meg. I have another Aldi voucher and I think I'll use it today. We were hit last night and were without power. It has really left me thinking.
Today I am going to buy some charcoal so that we can cook on the bbq if need be.

I am also going to buy more tinned foods that can be eaten cold or heated in the cans. I'm struggling to think what to buy though, hotdogs are my first buy but what else?II am also going to buy more candles. We really couldn't have done without them last night.
