It has me worried as well Meg. I have another Aldi voucher and I think I'll use it today. We were hit last night and were without power. It has really left me thinking.
Today I am going to buy some charcoal so that we can cook on the bbq if need be.

I am also going to buy more tinned foods that can be eaten cold or heated in the cans. I'm struggling to think what to buy though, hotdogs are my first buy but what else?II am also going to buy more candles. We really couldn't have done without them last night.
hop over to the shtf thread plenty of advice on there

  • Morning - hope everyone is OK? - just had to brave the wind and cold (and I have a cold too) as had no bread or anything in for my lunch!!! So decided to get what we needed for the next week at the same time - plus a treat box of nice soft tissues!!

Small spend today £15.28 in Al*i and Home Bags includes card posted to USA and small Xmas present. Also paid window cleaner £7 on Wednesday - waste of time as looks worse now after the storm!

Signature updated - doesn't look much left but have main meals in for next two weeks and all Xmas bits and booze - just need Xmas meat and veggies. Hope to come in under budget but if we don't we'll have had a great time!!! Also calculated that £15.37 of total spend is really from other budgets so if necessary will use that.

Having chicken, mushrooms sauce and rice for tea - yummy.

small spend in Asda today - not sure where my wages went yesterday, but they didn't go anywhere near my purse! £20.28 on cat food and litter and some cheap and easy things to make meals around for as long as possible.

I was quite disappointed with some of the Iceland party options so not surprised you only bought 2 . I have bought several of these, and have found the ones featuring prawns quite good., but the chicken spears were rubbish, chicken pastry swirls not bad, but could do much better and cheaper .

    Well done on the YS.
