Used Boots points yesterday so no money gone out of the budget for toiletries this month!
Planning to pick up a few bits in the Boots post Christmas /Jan sales so will look to up my points again a but then just save through the year again.
Off to the small ASDA today as I need a few bits and bf no longer wants to venture to tescos! On the list;
Cif, sponges/jay cloths, squash (we buy their double concentrate on 2 for 2.50 and it lasts us ages), milk, mince, nuts if on offer, snack/treat bits (they had some good offers on when I last looked) to take with us at Christmas, bread, ham. I'm expecting to spend around £25
They had offers on things we buy regularly earlier in the week so if they are still on I will get a few pasta sauces etc.
With bf away most of this week and then us going away with his parents for the weekend I won't be spending as I need a little spare money to buy bits if I see anything whilst we are away (calling in to a shopping centre on the way back for them to finish Christmas shopping). Sounds daft but as bf is away for a minimum of two full weeks in January (and more likely a additional three days too!) I'm trying to plan for minimum spends and hassle!************************************

So far this month I have spent £108 (45 oc**o, 38 al*1 and 25 online butcher). I have been busy in the kitchen making burgers and meatballs to freeze, cottage pie for tea and some to freeze and mushroom soup for lunch and freezer. I have also been making stuff for christmas hampers, coconut ice and honey roast nuts. I have made them look pretty with jars from wilk0 and covered the lids with baking paper tied up with raffia ribbons. I am pleased with them ( and myself :T) as I don't normally do this sort of homemade stuff.Grocery challenge: dec 294/280, January 250/250, February 168/200:T march 258/2600

Had an unexpected treat yesterday my DD and DGD invited me to a day out in Wolverhampton. Had a fabulous time, was treated to breakfast, coffee and cake and finally dinner at a Chinese buffet.
Went to the market and bought some really pretty dress fabrics at only £2 a metre, drooled over the fruit and veg, so so cheap there but only bought 6 peppers for a pound as didn't need any and didn't want to carry it around.
I think we must have visited every charity shop in the town, certainly everyone we walked past. Poundland, Poundworld and bargain stores.
I bought a few Christmas bits and a lovely singing and dancing Christmas tree, it plays rocking around the Christmas tree lights up and wriggles, I love it .
So only a £1 spend out of grocery budget and £30 out of Christmas budget.Slimming World at target0 -
I didn't really need a food shop delivered today so as the OH is working and I didn't want to sit at home bored, I went into town. I thought I would make use of the money off coupon I had for %ain$buryS. I shopped wisely but still spent over £30 :eek: and :mad: I've been charged twice for one item. I did however get a few till spits so hopefully will go back tomorrow and get my refund plus get the 25% off wine using the till spit to get more money off
I am:(:( to report that I can be wasteful with my food purchases sometimes and often wonder how much I would save if I shopped properly and didn't bin food. I don't dwell on this yet get really irate when I get overcharged like above !

Ending up spending a whopping £38 in ASDA but that included £8.00 on two WKD four packs for bf and 2 packs of C batteries which we needed and were on offer at 2 for £6.00 (£5.50 each!) So £24 from the food budget. Will include the £8.00 too so £32 which I will add now.
That said we didn't get nuts/Christmas snacks or mince. I'm almost certain though that we won't need anything more now until closer to Christmas with bf away and then the pair of us away for the weekend so I will look in town on my lunch breaks for some of those************************************
