  • In the freezer went 2pints of chicken stock, the chicken is Now finished, I have enough pasta for 2 meals, yesterday a sweet and sour ready meal went into the freezer.

I also finished some cupboard stuff this week, sultanas, the rest of the free nesquick, the last of the 3kg pasta and i've now opened the last pack of wholemeal penne.

The chicken has given me 10 meals, which isn't bad, could have been more, but I don't scrimp on chicken! I think having more fresh food, is o k for me, think I will get a gammon soon thanks for that zafiro.

Just been to wait rose and stocked up on fresh food, everything in my trolley was reduced......the meat offers still went through with the extra reduction which makes them EXTREMELY good value. I also bought some pomegranates, raspberries and passion fruit all less than half price. From the freezer, meatballs for a baked rice dish and a helping if raspberry and red currant yogurt?

  • Evening everyone, is it ok to join in??

We have enough food in the house to last us a good while and trying really hard not to buy any unnecessary items apart from the usual fruit/veg/milk etc. We had a huge garage bill as well yesterday so really need to cut my shopping budget way back this coming month.

So out from the freezer, we had filled cooked pasta in sauce, with cooked veg and sausage rolls that we had in the fridge. However, managed to acquire through my work enough mac n cheese to last us at least 2 meals, have popped it in the fridge just now as my freezer is outside and it was dark and cold! So will hopefully find room for it in the freezer 2mrw.

Hi everyone hope you are all well !

    Ocado order this morning:

    IN freezer

    Musk's gluten free Newmarket sausages
Genius brown sliced x 3 as on offer
    Helen Browning organic pork mince
Waitrose organic 20 mini meatballs x 2 on offer
    President butter

    IN cupboard

A pile of organic konjac (glucomannan) ie noodles, rice, spaghetti, fettucine, angel hair, penne etc from Ocado and Holland & Barrett. Low in carbs, fat and calories, high in fibre and gluten free.

Open opening they STINK so need thorough rinsing. I'm using sieve to drain the rice and other fine stuff, salad spinner for the bigger stuff eg fettucine. Some types are pre-cooked and only need 1 min to reheat.

Wheat free husband, low carb me and veggie mother can now eat veggie Italian dishes together :)

    Anyone else have this ?
  • Nothing out today as we had a chinese at the in laws (they paid :)) but got 2 cooked chickens reduced at toscos on the way home, they will be stripped down and bagged for the freezer and will make stock with the bones x
