Today's list of items in the freezer

    bread
    peas
    [STRIKE]mashed potato[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]potato croquettes - 4 left[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]tofu[/STRIKE]
    ginger
    [STRIKE]mushroom parpadelle[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]macaroni cheese[/STRIKE]
    vegetarian sausages - 2 left
    [STRIKE]home made veg sausage rolls - 4 left [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]shortcrust pastry[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]1 portion of quorn balti curry[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]1 portion of green thai curry[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]broccoli and cheese quiche [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]a higgidy pie[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2 vegetarian curries[/STRIKE]
    Chestnut rissoles
    Quorn mince

Turned some of the bread into breadcrumbs this week and I have made 18 chestnut rissoles.

The tofu has been used in a green thai curry for tomorrow.

Pastry used for coconut tarts and jam tarts.

I have to confess that I have purchased the quorn mince today. My excuse for that is that I have two houseguests who arrived in the early hours and I think they might like this in a meal this week but no idea what to make with it. I've also bought tomatoes which they like and I don't. Maybe some sort of cottage pie with onions and peas and serve with tomatoes. Perhaps I should have bought some dressing for a salad - also have too much cucumber.

New freezer ordered but no delivery date as yet.

My houseguests have bought loads of food and my fridge freezer and cupboards are bulging...but they've made me some lovely food tonight.

I have no idea what I will do if I get a call to say my new fridge freezer is being delivered.

All these months running my freezer down....:o

^ I had been most impressed with the methodical way you were getting through your list too!
  • Did the monthly big shop last night so in went frozen veg and chicken portions but overall I have more space. Braising steak in the slow cooker today so all I need to do is veg when I get home from work which is good.

Out of freezer - muffin + chicken.
I have a sore mouth after dental treatment today so we had an egg fried rice meal with added gammon.

Out today, 2 slices of pork with stuffing, some 3 veg mash and some yorkshire puddings and peas to make a dinner tonight. I have also defrosted 4 sausages to make a sausage and stuffing plait for lunches the next 2 days.
In has went a very large ciabata sliced into 12 slices to use up as garlic bread slices, it was only 30p.
