Edwardia:- Hope you get your money back. I sent a large cheque through the post last year and it was intercepted and paid into someone else's ac. had to go through the fraud section of the bank but they were very good and I got all my money back
Soworried:- I'll open freezer tomorrow. had a look at the chocolate and marzipan cookies you linked to, will try them look really good.
Trying really hard this month not to spend on household things as I need to save as much as possible this year. I'm going to give ebay a try as I need to declutter. I've 40+ married years of items, my daughter has decluttered she says it saves time on the cleaning, must give it a try.
Freezer (not the one I turned off by mistake)
out:- fish, prawns, salmon bits, for a fish pie
in:- portions of orange curd made with left over 'Christmas oranges'0 -
soworried - I like your food presentation with the Indian meal!
Florenceem - it's not the same without the nightly pic!
zafiro - that's a long time for a freezer to be off - I'd have had to have a peak to see how soft stuff was. I agree with the declutter thing, does make things easier/quicker to clean/tidy.
My fridge was almost bare this week, never seen it so empty - had small Ocado order now thankfully. Veg box order also due. Still trying to keep shopping to bare minimum, really need to keep spends as low as poss. Still plenty of variety of dried goods so just getting fresh bits to add to that.
Edwardia - I put in the peas, sweetcorn, nut cutlets! The frozen org peas/sweetcorn were very small bags though - hadn't had them before, I don't normally buy frozen veg but got these as no added salt/sugar unlike the tins.
Last night's meal was literally what was left in the fridge - sprouts and watercress and some lentils from the cupboard, flavoured with garlic/bay. Tasted quite nice! Had more exciting meals though. It was maybe more suited to a lunch than a dinner.

Not sure what I'll have tonight yet - fancy jacket potato with sweetcorn/peas though really need to use the last of the sprouts/watercress before the new veg arrives.0
