My phone makes my salad look washed out! It's much greener in real life!
Taking pics in daylight usually helps but not much good if you are taking a pic at dinnertime..
Love mismatched old china plates, there's a teashop near me that has all that style and it looks great (great cakes too).
Here's the choc recipe Flo, it's really quick, I used foil and they came off really easily after about an hour in the fridge.

Some very scrummy looking meals there
out this morning was some yellow sticker rice and nahn bread along with chicken roll for sandwiches. Plan is not to buy anythingfor the rest of the month apart from milk. Be nice to get months shopping for under £60 although the yellow sticker reductions always het me and I then fill thr freezer back up. I have a lot of home grown meat in my mums freezer and considering buying a small under counter freezer? Is this going to ne cost effective? Also best places to get one?

So I bought marzipan to decorate HM Xmas cakes and various other "good ideas". Only used one packet so have quite a few left over, and ready rolled icing. Anyone got any ideas please. Do not think they can be frozen (even if there was room in freezers).
Many many thanks in advance.0 -
Freezer movements OUT
President butter
Riverford 2 Homity pies - offloaded on veggie mother as OH can't eat them now (pastry)
Went out shopping with my mother yesterday and was verry restrained, food wise.
Bought coleslaw and Fruit Factory fruit snack packs (for OH) in Home Bargains, organic Extra Virgin olive oil, 9 bars and Yeo Valley yogurt (both for OH) in ASDA.
Admit I did buy books in Waterstone's.. but got them on Buy One Get One Half Price.0 -

The ready rolled icing I'd be tempted to use on HM Bakewell Tart.
Not sure about the marzipan. Someone on the boards used to make muffins or cakes and mix pieces of it in before they baked and said it was delicious. Sounded nice.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Me too, mainly marzipan as I make icing from scratch and I find marzipan is cheaper to buy than make.
Anyone, any ideas for using it up. I adore eating it straight from the packet but the calories are horrific so I need to stre....tch it further.
Freezer

Having an easy tea tonight, I love bulk cooking it makes life so much easier when you have busy days.
Stupid me - I turned the plug off to a freezer the other day by accident, must have been unplugged for a couple of days before I realised. Don't think I've lost anything as it was full to bursting, just turned it back on and wont open the door for 48hrs0 -
