Even though got 2 (small) freezers full of HM ready meals and pre-portioned meat and veg, today I feel like a nice roast chicken, which I need to go buy when the shop opens. All the meal planning in the world still can't deal with craving a bit of comfort food  :(

Forgot to post yesterday after shopping.  Hopefully have bought everything except fresh stuff for the month:

In:  pork shoulder joint; pork leg joint (for Christmas); whole salmon portioned into 8 meal sized bags plus a couple of trimmings and smaller tail bits for fish pie; 2 loaves of bread (this is for me, DH makes sourdough for himself so only has the odd couple of slices of mine if he hasn't made any).

Out:  marinaded beef - made beef casserole - some for tonight

    Today:

    In:  beef casserole
Out:  dried chickpeas from stores, to soak overnight and cook tomorrow morning to make curry
