    Out: portion of cooked venison mince to make a cottage pie, going to add in loads of veg from the plot.
    Had yet more apples given to me yesterday, large crispy golden delicious and more Bramleys, it's been such a good year for apples and pears, swapped them for trays of eggs, tomatoes and a couple of butternut squashes, so pudding will be something to do with apples.

    Yeah i fell into the bargains trap too! I managed to race through shop today and skipped all the aisles that could tempt me! Only advice i can give is to take cash for shopping list and leave your wallet at home.
    Out: katsu curry seasoning for naked chicken burgers.
    In: blanched runnerbeans from allotment (hopefully, feeling a bit lazy)

    Sending out an SOS: Have about 2kg of tomatoes from allotment and I really want to have a go at making sweet tomato jam. Not tomato and chilli jam, not chutney and not relish. Anyone got an easy enough recipe, please send it my way. And no, I don't have a sugar thermometer. (I really hate google at the moment!)

  • Yay, NSD today. Using up some the fresh stuff first in the fridge so had lovely pork chops with mustard and sour cream sauce with leftover mash and some veg. Delicious 😀 used up some dying pears to make a compote, put a couple of frozen wine cubes in. I will be having that in a minute.
    IN = nothing 😀

    Out:  sausages for breakfast tomorrow and Sunday
    In:  Have cooked a huge beef casserole - still need to divide it up but think at least 3 meals for 2 will be going into freezer.  2 portions for tomorrow for DH and I.

    Edit:  now divided and definitely 3 meals for 2 into the freezer.  Rest for dinner tomorrow night.
