So far I've not been shopping for 8 days, I always shop online (due to age and Covid) so I use a split screen and keep a list of what I need at two different supermarkets - then I select  one of the two, usually the cheaper and have them deliver. At the moment  I only have washing tabs, firelighters and stock cubes plus a bit of fruit so I should be able to last a few more days.

I love that idea. I am lucky in my town everything a few minutes walk from each other, so do a circular walk grabbing what is cheapest from each store.

Out:- half leg mutton, ice cream,
Just looking at how many eggs I have that haven't been sold at the gate, (probably due to the rain and wind)  I'll make some cake batter and freeze it uncooked. It doesn't take long to do and I freeze it in ice cream tubs, each tub holds just enough for a smallish tray bake.

Wish you lived near me zafiro!  There's nowhere near me where I could buy free range eggs at the gate!

  • IN: spent £8 on 2 full price fruits and chocolate for my DH cost of that was a total of £3.80 and the rest on yellow sticker items at 3pm today. Stopped in at 3 shops. Got paninis, baugettes and fresh bread ( will be frozen and mainly for kids lunchs) two packs of stirfry veg, sweet potatoes chips, 2 packs of potatoes and veg steam mix.  And some donuts for treats. Quite happy with my haul!
Out: two pork chops for stir fry, egg noodles.
Anti frugal - had to throw out an entire bottle of apple juice as i forgot about it and it was well past its date... Annoying
