I think a lot of people do keep an inventory.  I try to but I'm not particularly successful!  I sometimes forget to add things I've put in to it and cross off things I've taken out and used!

The 2 almost empty bags of fries i found on the same shelf yesterday would say no, I wish! But I do have a rough idea. I tend to batch cook over a week and then finish it all before going doing another session. Same with meat/fish buying, all in one go and then none for how many weeks i bought for.

A full freezer will (hopefully) keep you going for a while. Inventory, mealplan and sit back and enjoy the money you going to save on shopping for next how many weeks!  :)

I too try, may not be 100% accurate, but it is close, had to make a couple of adjustments yesterday when putting in to bottom of pork drawer, we all grab stuff quick and forget to adjust.
That reminds me, think I need to delete hot dog sausages.

The Husband is working from home and eating us out of house and home. Constant fridge-raiding and mugs of tea. I caught him scoffing a whole tin of reduced salt corned beef earlier this week. I am fed up with chasing my tail, trying to get stuff delivered, and he will just scoff all the corned beef, the walnuts, pickled eggs and ham. He's always forgetting to take stuff out of the freezer, a well. So I have gone on buying strike until the Watts Farm order on 24th. I hope to reduce the freezer stock by posting here.

That will be supper tomorrow with a fried free-range duck egg and some frozen organic green beans from the old freezer.
