I managed to get an online delivery last Sunday, mainly basics - milk, bread, flour, coffee, butter, fruit and veg, absolutely no luxuries or toilet rolls!! Hopefully what I have will last for a month.
I've done a meal plan to last until the end of April. I didn't do a day by day plan but 14meals x 3 - that gives me 42 days in total. I do 14 x 3 dinners, 14 x 3 puddings and 14 x 3 lunches - and I mix and match as the mood takes me plus what time I have because we have a load of livestock here that needs looking after. We're by ourselves now after the announcement last night about people staying at home. I'm now going into the mode of cook three eat one and freeze two.
All the shopping at the moment is in the boot of the car for three days. It comes out of isolation tomorrow, however I've already done 3 x bacon wrapped around turkey with stuffing in the center and 3 x venison casserole with what I already had indoors.
It may seem OTT but there's a cluster of virus cases around here, - post ladies are wonderful at the jungle telegraph - so we're trying our best to stay isolated.3 -
I'm still living out of the freezer at the moment. Only done my meal plan to end of March. Will sort out April's meal plan using frozen stuff as much as possible and then will need to do a shop for stuff I need for April - hoping I can make up enough for an online delivery.
Stay safe.

OUT: Pork chop,Do I need it or just want it.2 -
I found some pastry in my freezer that was left over from Christmas, intended to use it in January but clearly didn't get round to it.
Made a Quiche last night for dinner with left over milk, mushrooms, cheese and short-dated eggs. Had leftovers for lunch today and enough for tomorrow.5 -
Just had the most revolting pork from the freezer. It was some sort of Chinese spiced marinated dish bought reduced price which had 4 pork steaks, 2 of which we ate previously with the others gone in the freezer. We didn't enjoy the first ones and I would have binned them but with CV, needs must. Have eaten these now whilst we have plent of other stuff. Would not want to be facing that as our last option.

Got up early.
Puff pastry and sausagemeat out of freezer. made 12 sausage rolls, four of which we will have for lunch and eight to be frozen for another day.
Tea is a fish thing - don't know what to call it - its salmon, whitefish, prawns.(all defrosted yesterday) plus boiled egg with HM butter sauce and topped with potato . I'm going to use sweet potato as the one in the fridge needs using up. I've a couple of sheets of filo in the fridge so will put that on top of plums (from freezer) for pudding.
I've got a leftover book which I can highly recommend. It's called The Leftovers handbook by Suzy Bowler. I got it from Amazon Kindle Store. I had it a couple of years and use it a lot. Its not a usual recipe book but it gives you ideas for individual items. it's worth having a look.

Ocado delivery arrived (don't judge, they were the only ones with slots 2 weeks ago!) so the freezer has now had 4 steak and ale pies and three blocks of goats cheese added.
Apart from fresh veg, we intend to live off stores for as long as possible - yesterday was bacon (from the freezer), eggs and the remains of the opened cheese to make a rather nice carbonara. Tonight is sausages, prawns and sweetcorn from the freezer to make jambalaya - tinned tomatoes from the larder. Doing a meal plan for the next 2 weeks, trying to minimise what we have to buy so that, as far as possible, it can be done at the little corner shop just down the road.
Although OH will make his weekly pilgrimage to a local bakers to try and get their granary loaf - this counts as shopping for necessities and daily exercise apparently (it's a 15 minute walk each way)2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used
