    I need to join you lovely people. I have always gone overboard with cupboards and the freezer seesaws, but things have got silly. There are 2 of us and one weekly dinner guest. I have over 100 jars and cans (not including herbs and spices, 80 cans of pop or my loophole regarding bottles and packets) and I've stopped pretending the freezer is overflowing because of the top tier of my wedding cake- the last 2weeks I haven't been able to fit anything new in...maybe should add there are 2 freezers. The cleaning and toiletry situation is just as bad, but I purchased a carpet and upholstery cleaner a month ago so can sanely stop buying some things now.
    So : my aim is to only buy bread or things that need to go in the fridge until at least half of the list is gone (maybe should do an honest count)
    Today:
    In = 0
    Out: defrosting salmon en croute and some "burgers" made from veg (to go with the rest of the valentine's meal still in the fridge)
    Maybe do an audit of what you have in and check the dates on packets and tins to use the old ones first. And don't feel guilty. There was someone on here a few years ago who could not ignore a BOGOF and ended up (started her challenge) with her entire loft insulated with multi-pack toilet rolls. I personally had 6 of those collapsible plastic crates of toiletries and cosmetics at one point (less than two now).
