Had out some some stir fry beef for tea tonight and have also taken out a whole chicken to defrost. So that will do Sunday dinner, something Monday although not.sure what - ideas welcome. And then pick the carcass for a curry and rice Tuesday.

How about chicken fajitas? We love them :j

    Nothing in and nothing out,
made lunch and tea from things that were in the fridge.

Where is everyone, they can't all be out Christmas shopping.

Went to the Garden centre today to get a couple of hozelock items, the place was heaving, I walked past all the decorations, Christmas trees, Santa's Grotto without even being tempted to spend. However I was inspired and found my secetors when I got home so cut some holly, green and yellow conifers and blue spruce, and lightened it up with some pampas grass feathers, made quite a large arrangement, sprayed it with some silver, looks good and cost nothing. Then I found quite an interesting branch with lots of little branches going off it, also loads of cones on the wood floor, sprayed them all gold and the branch silver then hung the cones plus loads of tiny wooden Christmas ornaments I got from Germany years ago on the branch, looks good and cost nothing.

    Yule log next!

Thanks soworrird for the idea. I found half a pack of left over enchilada spice mix in the cupboard and did that with the chicken and put cheese on and then with jacket potato and salad. It's curry and rice tonight do nothing has come out of the freezer for a few days except for ham for sandwiches for work

  • Nothing in,

Some mackerel came out for dinner. Hope it thaws in time.

Freezer is looking reasonably low and I love that feeling. It's been years since I've managed to have a low stock in the freezer.

I'm waiting until I'm down to my last fish then will fill it up again with fresh fish and a variety of meat. Still not buying YS so that I'm forced to use what's in the freezer.

  • Trying to use up odds and ends before going to visit my parents this weekend!

Think this week will be gammon and vegetables, gammon stew and dumplings, and possibly a pea/lentil soup

Good job OH and I both love gammon really!
