Re marinating beef my favourite marinade is red wine, sliced garlic, thyme, few black peppercorns and a bayleaf. Marinade for 24 hours, remove and pat dry rub with a little dijon mustard and flour. Brown in a hot pan then transfer to a roasting dish - spread the LO marinade (minus the garlic, peppercorns & bayleaf) over the beef and roast or slow cook as you like. If unsure of the cut/tenderness I'd be inclined to either slow cook or roast uncovered in a hot oven for 15 mins per 1lb.(I like mine rareish) If roasting once cooked wrap in foil, pop ina warm place covered with a towel and rest for at least 20 mins.
Grocery delivery today so into freezer/cupboards: Potato croquettes, pitta bread, tea bags, tinned tuna, meat paste

:hello: room for a little one?
I have a normal under the counter freezer and a chest freezer, both of which are full  I have two allotments and have been growing in the garden too, as well as meat stuff and batch cooked stuff. I need to run the chest freezer down so that I can move it downstairs but can't do that until it's empty, or as near as :rotfl:
I'm already fairly good at meal planning and trying to use up the contents but not very good at not putting more stuff in it :rotfl:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Hi tiredwithtwins,
Sometimes, the recipe not liked is then made into something much bigger! The "freezer roulette" desciption reminds me of the type of language often used in the usage of the fridge freezer.
Recently, obtained some "yellow-sticker" purchases locally and were shared equally with somebody else. Also, got a few food flavourings. These recent purchases were considered whilst doing the (food) grocery online order which arrives today.0 -

The (food) online grocery order arrived yesterday although was minus several "not available" UHT milks but I had plenty in stock anyway. Finished the foraged plums yesterday and still have lots of free other fruit left.0
