Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two

Been sorting out the food store cupboard today again. All the herbs and spices which are "old" are gradually being sorted out. Any empty containers that they are stored in will be reused for something else. The purchased garlic spice is not as "old" so is being kept. Made garlic bread today with some of it.0

Didn't do an expected online (food) grocery order yesterday. Couldn't think of what to get and only wanted an odd item anyway which was coffee.
Only a small amount of blackberries found today so that should be my last trip out collecting this year. Current free fruit in the freezer consists of blackberries and black currants. Elsewhere are free plums.0 -

Morning, All
Haven't been able to come on for a wee while now due to a variety of things, which all needed attention. It's been great reading all your posts and seeing how well everyone is doing.
Joe enjoyed his break, but was glad to get back to his beloved allotment. He brought us back rock and thanked us for looking after it and said we'd done a good job, which was good of him. I've been a bit chaotic in noting what went out of the freezer and cupboards, but there is certainly a lot more room and it all looks under control now - even the freezers, as everything is now labelled when it goes in.
IN YESTERDAY: lots of Gazpacho to use up a glut of stuff that Joe gave me.
OUT YESTERDAY: cottage pie, fish pie for Joe. Fish pie for us. Beef salmon cut to defrost for guests on Saturday.
IN TODAY: Helda beans from Joe - they have done well this year apparently and much better than the runners. Used up a load of spuds and made oven chips. Hope they work!0 -
In: 2 chicken legs, boned chicken crown, HM tomato soup
Out: savoury mince, peas
Used up: chicken carcass is in the slow cooker for stock0 -
Recently, I have been checking freezer contents that sometimes were batch cooked and never tried, or must not have been liked. The latter being "transformed" into something better.
No food has been purchased since last week. Today, freezing free blackberries should be the last time this year. Also, a continuation of sorting out "old" herbs and spices.0 -
