Food packages went in and out of the freezer yesterday. Don't feel at this stage that 2 drawers can be emptied by the end of the month. However, still some time left to persevere.

Freezer drawers 1st - 7th April 2018 = Now slightly more than the starting space already created which was 1.5 drawers.

Nothing went in today whereas four bags were taken out. Had three of these already - noodles and mini "cheesecakes". The other partially started - Brussels sprouts from the local store New Year "clearance" of them!

I'm still using up my pre-op pre cooked meals which I made for DH whilst I was recovering - I think I made too many :D

If I move everything around I reckon I've a couple of empty drawers in the upright freezer. I need to make more space before June when all the fruit and veg I grow will start maturing.
  • Did inventory of 3 freezers yesterday (I record as I go through and then type onto spreadsheet) so now I can use up better. Had joint of beef done in SC yesterday with onion + carrots/potatoes/parsnips from freezer. Some of beefy gravy from beef joint with frozen chickpeas and kale plus some lentils and 1 small chopped potato. Should make 3 soups. Its a start.

No food purchased this weekend. Didn't want what was reduced whether it be the type of food and/or price. Not interested in food shopping until my online delivery which is over a week off.

Dinner was out of the freezer again
Sausagemeat with apricots and chestnuts wrapped in bacon - frozen last October, followed by sponge and apple frozen last September. Custard - but that was fresh today.

Tomorrow for lunch I've got some green pea soup but I'll add bits of bacon and croutons and maybe a dash of cream. DH always likes something sweet after lunch so I'll defrost a couple of gooey brownies for him
Dinner - not sure yet but I'm sure I'll find something without too much trouble
