Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two
Comments

2 batch cooked recipes (made 2017) consisting upon 2 portions now left. One of these portions today had last seasons blackberries in. All the foraged blackberries are therefore now eaten. It looks possible that all the 2017 batch cooking will be finished by the end of this month.0

caronc - I collected my free blackberries (1.235gr) locally so will also be picking more again this year.
Just one batch cooked recipe ( made 2017) now left which is one portion.
Today, finished a recipe with last years home grown black currants in.0 -
Not finished all of the final recipe portion yet. Tomorrow is the last day to reach my mini-challenge goal of using up the 2017 batch cooked recipes!0

Out: 2 X individual quiche, strawberries, raspberries, white currants, chicken curry. 3 X frozen fish, prawns.
I can see some space in the freezers, not much but some. Off for the next 4 days and hoping to make some progress in working through the freezers to make an inventory. If I know what's in there I have more chance of using it all up.0 -
All my batch cooking done in 2017 has now been had. Thanks for any assistance this month.0

Well done dannie. I have just taken out a lump of lemon chicken (dumped so not sure of details) so am tweaking a chicken & fig recipe (figs bought for Xmas). Recipe for full chick but mine is only a small breast I think. Also got another breast out to do chicken in milk, similar to a Jamie Oliver recipe. Doing in SC so will eat that tomorrow. Trying to use old freezer stash, you are an inspiration0

Not successful at all in March, above is total for end of month
added for April
3 packets tilda coconut rice (overestimated how much to buy/eat) - I don't expect I'll eat the 7 packets with bb date of April either - so expect that number to rise in May...:o
Brie
Sultanas
I have a plenty of frozen items to eat but nothing passed their best before date, and the things I have made should last a while longer.
All I am buying now is fresh veg, fruit, fruit juices, milk, eggs, cheese, butter, bread.

Hi whmf00001,
Thanks very much for your comments; much appreciated.
Hope you enjoy your chicken meals. I've not heard of combining chicken with figs. I also combine all sorts of ingredients in/with recipes and they usually work.0
