Hi, I had my op a year ago and just like yourself, I stocked up with hm soup/meals etc plenty of veg, even some ready made meals. Easy to get to so I did not have to bend. I managed to reduce stocks but of course, they have built up again but the recent snow helped. Having to think about the other hip to be done before too long so do not want to run stocks down too much. Have started to use more orzo and cous cous instead of potatoes but of course, the packets are in the cupboard. And I buy dried chickpeas, cook some in bulk and then freeze as a tin is too big for one person. Hope your recovery is as good as mine was. x0

2017 batch cooked 4 recipes progress:-
One more portion used up so making it 16 more to use up.
Been out twice recently but mainly stopped myself purchasing more food. The only exception being two cocoa powders spotted cheaper than my usual supplier. "Bad" weather predicted this weekend so I might go out today which may mean some food purchases.0 -
2017 batch cooked 4 recipes progress:-
1.5 portions used up today so 14.5 more portions to use up.
Did one of my local weekend (food) shopping days yesterday instead and acquired some "yellow-sticker" bargains. Saved a lot of money and useful purchases because they were the same/similar ideas to what I had considered for my online (food) grocery order next week.0 -

As expected, I didn't go out over the weekend, so no local weekend food shopping.
Had a look in the fridge freezer this a.m. Those 2017 freezer items to be used up are now 11.5 portions which are from 4 recipes. Creeping very slowly then to finally having all of these albeit it may have taken 3 months!0 -
Been away for the weekend so no movement until today.
OUT: 2 packs sausages, mac cheese
