Eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge - part two

Yesterday I used up half of the leftover pizza dough from Sunday to make myself a broccoli and Savoy cabbage pizza. It was delicious! The cabbage went a little bit crispy - yum! I used cheddar on it as there was a block from xmas that needed using up (I had to chop a little bit of mould off!). While I was grating the cheddar anyway I decided to use the rest on a cheese sauce as we a fair amount of milk that was a couple of days OOD but still smelt fine. I've frozen half of it and will use the other half with pasta and greens tonight.
Yesterday's tea was a bowlful each of the parsnip dahl I made on Monday and a flatbread and it was delicious but way too spicy to have offered to the 5 year old. I have him some hm beetroot humus in a wrap but he only ate half of that saying it was ' a bit spicy'. I was confused as I didn't put any chili in it but when I tasted it again I realised the raw garlic in it had intensified in flavour and was a bit much for his palate. Next time I'll have to fry it or roast it a bit first. I've got loads of the stuff to get through on my own now as hubby isn't massively keen on humus. I have frozen half of it to give myself a fighting chance.
I will finish off the last of the pizza dough today for my lunch and start planning what needs using up next!0 -
In: 8 pints of milk, 16 bread rolls, 2 packs of butter.
All the above were items that had run out, amazingly the freezers had just about enough room to take it all. I had to work hard to swerve the 'bargains', why is that? I don't need any meat or ready meals - it is a terrible fixation!0 -
Using up 2017 freezer stored batch cooked recipes (several of each) = 18.
Consequently, 18 used (from 29) in January 2018.0 -

Hi, I know I don't need to explain myself, but I was going to be doing a challenge on here. I've had a bit of an accident and am feeling massively sorry for myself. I was running like some Olympian for the bus, after a night out, and I fell. I didn't put my hands out, for some reason, and have smashed my face really bad. I get to the bus stop and ask a lady if she has a tissue, and she starts crying, cause I look so bad and am covered in blood, and tries to insist she calls an ambulance. Anyway, I was supposed to be going to a restaurant tonight and meeting some friends later at a party, but I honestly look like something out of a horror movie, so have had to cancel. I can barely type, as I have done something to my shoulder and am in a lot of pain. Anyway, no big deal, it will all heal. But I won't be doing any challenge. Take Care.0
