  • Evening all :)

Hope your eye is on the mend Ms NR? And what about your washing machine Kirri, did you get someone round to fix it?

Well I'm feeling very pleased with myself this evening as I've just made and eaten my pork & bean casserole and, much to my surprise, it was delicious! Fried off onions, mushrooms and carrots, added some chipotle sauce, a big pinch of smoked paprika, a dollop of passata, some mixed beans and the leftover pork roast from the weekend. Cor! There was easily enough for four meals but I was hungry so I ate half and will eat the other half tomorrow.

What have you all cooked up?

LOL older you crack me up!

Suprisingly after cleaning my eyea few times, my eye has gone down a lot

Ive been at college today, so I had a mini jerk chicken and rice meal, then went to see my grandma.

Im having the last piece of bbq chicken, bought some whoopsied pittas, and some coleslaw, so will have thatfor dinner.

In the freezer will go a pack of chicken chunks and a pack of mini pittas.

Only 1 more shopping day this week, which is tomorrow and is planned to use up vouchers.

Older you are getting right into this cooking thing! go you!

^ Your casserole sounds good! I've been using a lot of smoked paprika lately. Might try that minus the pork.

Engineer not due out till end of the week  I am struggling and typically dropped a greasy mushroom on my fave jeans this evening and can't wash them now..

MNR - did you go to college in dark glasses today?!
Some of the walk in centres are quite good, used to use one when working in London and never seemed to be a queue. Better than waiting 2 weeks.

    Meal wise:

Yesterday I had a cheese omelette, red rice salad and green salad.

Was feeling a bit rough today so had to go with what I fancied
tonight, it looks a bit bare with no salad! - mushrooms cooked in butter, garlic & thyme then put them in a tapas dish, added grated cheese and stuck it under the grill. Had it with bread.

  • Thanks Ms NR, I've got a very long way to go before I could actually claim to cook (the chipotle thingy came in a bottle :D). Those mini pitta things are dangerous in my house cos once started, there is no stopping. It's almost like it doesn't count as real food if it's in miniature.

Sod's Law in action re your jeans Kirri. Your meals look totally lush as always and have me drooling, and I say that even though I'm so stuffed I can barely budge from the sofa. Hope you feel a bit better soon.

I'm just waiting for Mrs F to check in now as I *NEED* a photo fix of her wedges.

Hi Mrs R hope your well.

I had my hips and waist measured as part of my class yesterday, lets just say it was not what I expected! no more snacking! :(

Breakfast is porridge, needless to say I got up and did my zumba dvd today! lol

I seasoned up some chicken chunks I got yesterday, lunch will be chicken in the gf, coleslaw and 1 of those pittas, Dinner will be stir fry chicken, I took a pack of noodles from the freezer, realised I have 3 packs of short crust pastry that I need to use at some point.

    Its shopping day today.

  • Hello everyone :)

I've been for a guided walk around central London today, and saw the Queen being driven homewards up The Mall. I expect she was looking forward to having a nice cuppa and putting her feet up. I didn't realise that Clarence House, where Charles and Camilla live, is so close to Buckingham Palace. They really could nip round to borrow some milk with no trouble at all :rotfl:

As I've eaten my own bodyweight in sarnies, crisps and cake today I'm not even slightly hungry but if I don't eat the remaining pork & bean casserole tonight it will have to go in the bin and that would be a shocking waste, so eat it I will!

Stay away from those tape measures Ms NR, they are ALWAYS bad news!:D
